Elementary School

Reminder: When writing out food payments please

Rainbow Kids

 

Starting in December, we will be hosting a Rainbow Kids group at
Sheboygan Falls Elementary School for all Middle School and Elementary School
aged students interested in participating.

 

Rainbow kids, Inc. provides peer support to children and adults who are
grieving a loss due to death, divorce, separation, abandonment, incarceration,
or other crisis. They provide hope and facilitate healing with: Help with
dealing with feelings, developing coping skills, support of peers, support of
trained caring adults, and guidance through the grieving process using journals
activities, games, and discussions. If you are interested in having your child

organizaremos un grupo de Rainbow Kids en la Escuela Primaria Sheboygan Falls
para todos los estudiantes en edad de escuela intermedia y primaria interesados
en participar.

 

Rainbow kids, Inc.
brinda apoyo entre pares a niños y adultos que sufren una pérdida por muerte,
divorcio, separación, abandono, encarcelamiento u otra crisis. Brindan
esperanza y facilitan la recuperación con: Ayuda para lidiar con los
sentimientos, desarrollando habilidades para sobrellevar la situación, apoyando
a compañeros, apoyando a adultos capacitados y capacitados, y guiando a través
del proceso de aflicción utilizando actividades, juegos y discusiones en

Flu Facts

 • Influenza,
also called flu, is a contagious viral infection of the nose and throat. Flu
can spread easily through coughing and sneezing. 

• Flu can cause
secondary complications such sinus and ear infections and pneumonia or make
chronic medical conditions like asthma worse. 

• The flu is a serious
disease; much more dangerous than the common cold for children. 

• The best way to
protect children from flu is to get them vaccinated each year. 

 • On average in
the United States, children miss approximately 38 million school days every
year due to flu.

 • Flu is not the
same as the “stomach flu,” which is a viral infection of the stomach and
intestines that will typically goes away on its own within a few days.

 

Get you flu shot,
cover your cough and sneeze, wash your hands, and stay home if you have a

CLOSING OF SCHOOLS DUE TO INCLEMENT
WEATHER

As winter approaches, it is again
time to make plans for possible school closings due to inclement weather.  The procedures that have been followed by the
School District of Sheboygan Falls over the past several years will be followed
again this year.

 

This means that any decision to
close schools for all or any portion of a school day will be made as early as
possible in order to afford parents the opportunity to make alternate child
care or transportation plans.  All
closing announcements or early dismissals will be made on the school web page: 
www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us,
an automated school message, and on the following area radio
