*GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS*

*Attention all current and interested students in Robotics*: we will be
having a parent/student informational meeting on October 15th from 6:30 pm
to 7:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Any questions, please see Mr.
Hughes.

*Picture Retakes are in the high school office – *please pick them up.

*Attention Seniors:* Do you feel overwhelmed by the prospect of entering
the Real World in just 8 short months? Do scholarship nightmares plague
your sleep? Does the mere thought of FAFSA send a shiver down your spine?
Would the scariest Halloween costume be the Common App? Fear not, for we
have a solution to all your senior-year fears. The Senior Application Club
is meeting during enhancement on Friday, October 18 in Ms. Enright’s room
(210), with Ms. Enright & Ms. Lintereur. Sign up for Ms. Enright’s
enhancement to keep the goblins and ghouls of college and scholarship
applications at bay.

It is time once again for the Band and Choir annual poinsettia, kringle,
and cookie dough sale! We will be working with Natural Beauty Growers and
Lehmann’s Bakery again this year. There are a variety of choices for
poinsettias, kringles, and cookie dough. The poinsettias will help beautify
your home for the upcoming holidays, and the kringles and cookie dough make
wonderful gifts, as well as treats for your family. See a Band or Choir
student to order! The sale runs until October 24th and delivery will be
November 22nd.

*ABOVE AND BEYOND*

*Ryan R* – Mrs. Federer -Ryan has been helping in the library this week
with cleaning our many bookshelves. He is doing a wonderful job – Thank
you Ryan!

*Nicholas C* : Mrs. Hasler – Taking personal time to tutor a student from
another school in Physics and Statistics.

*Keegen K* – Mr. Conklin – for helping the Red Cross collect 20 units of
blood to save lives

*Karsen R and Haylee S* – Mrs. Franklin – wrote me very lengthy, nice,
complimentary belated birthday cards. They not only made my day, they made
my week!

*Madelaine S, Brooke S, Langdon T and Ben B* – Ms. Jarsoch – for helping to
put all of the tables back in the cafeteria after the Club Fair last
Monday.

*SPORTS*

*VAR Cross Country (A) Campbellsport – 4:00 p.m. Bus leaves at 3:00.

*VAR Boys Soccer (A) Sheboygan County Christian – 4:30. Bus leaves at
3:30.*

*JV2/JV/VAR Volleyball (A) Two Rivers – 5:30. Bus leaves at 4:00. *

*ATTN: anyone interested in being a stat or part of the wrestling team*,
there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, October 17, in the
auditorium during Enhancement. Sign up under Mrs. Spielvogel in Falcon
Scheduling.

*COUNSELING CENTER*

*If students are interested in taking an AP exam*, they may sign up and pay
in the Counseling Office with Mrs. Groth either before or after school or
during lunch. Sign up will end on Tuesday, October 15. The cost of each
AP exam is $94, and may be paid in cash or by check (made out to SDSF).

*Seniors:* Check your ACP canvas page for details on some scholarship
opportunities, including the Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship. Applications
are due Nov. 5th.

*Our visitors for the week of October 7 at Sheboygan Falls High School*
will be Thursday, October 10, Blue Harbor Resort will have reps here
outside the cafeteria advertising jobs available through their organization.

*Juniors and Seniors!!* Are you in the process of figuring out what you
want to do after high school? If so, the Wisconsin Education Fair is
something you will not want to miss!! Sheboygan Falls High School will be
taking 40 lucky students along to Lakeland University on Friday, October
18th from 9 -10:30 a.m. to the Education Fair being held there. There will
be approximately 100 postsecondary institutions in one location, including
military recruiters! You have until Wednesday, October 16th at the end of
the day to get signed up and turn in a field trip form in the Counseling
Office. There is also an online registration you will need to complete.
Mrs. Groth will email you a link for the online registration once you have
signed up. Come to the Counseling Office soon!!

*If you signed up to take the PSAT test*, This Friday (October 11) during
enhancement we will do the PSAT Pre-Administration. Please bring a number
2 pencil (non-mechanical) with you.

*Juniors and Seniors* – your NHS applications are due in the counseling
office by 3:!5 pm on Friday, October 11th!

*A reminder for Seniors!!* If you need a transcript/ACT scores to send to
colleges/universities that you are applying to, please stop in the
Counseling Office. Mrs. Groth will get those ready for you and then you
will send them where you want them to go. If you are applying to UW
Madison, UW LaCrosse, or UW Green Bay you must send them your ACT scores
through the ACT website. All other colleges/universities will accept a
copy of your scores from us. Any questions, please see Mrs. Groth.

*PARENTS*

*FYI: you can find HS daily announcements in these areas: *Infinite
Campus and the Sheboygan Falls School District website. Your students
receive them in their email, on T.V. screens throughout the hallways, on
the school district website, and posted on the high school office window.
