*GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS*

*Attention all current and interested students in Robotics*: we will be
having a parent/student informational meeting tonight, October 15th from
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. Any questions, please see
Mr. Hughes.

*Attention All FBLA members and interested students*: The registration form
and payment is now due. Please submit to Mr. Conklin or contact him with
any questions. Thanks!

*The library will be closed Wednesday until 6th hour for PSAT
testing*. Students
will not have access to chargers or printers during this time. Please plan
ahead!

*T**he Meca Sportswear representative will be at Sheboygan Falls High
School on Thursday, October 17th to take orders for Letter Jackets*.
Jackets can be ordered during the lunch period outside of the cafeteria.
Students ordering jackets should bring any patches or award letters they
would like to have sewn on their jacket on order day. A $100.00 deposit is
required on order day.*Please make checks payable to Meca Sportswear.
Credit cards are also acceptable*

*Attention Seniors:* Do you feel overwhelmed by the prospect of entering
the Real World in just 8 short months? Do scholarship nightmares plague
your sleep? Does the mere thought of FAFSA send a shiver down your spine?
Would the scariest Halloween costume be the Common App? Fear not, for we
have a solution to all your senior-year fears. The Senior Application Club
is meeting during enhancement on Friday, October 18 in Ms. Enright’s room
(210), with Ms. Enright & Ms. Lintereur. Sign up for Ms. Enright’s
enhancement to keep the goblins and ghouls of college and scholarship
applications at bay.

*It is time once again for the Band and Choir annual poinsettia*, kringle,
and cookie dough sale! We will be working with Natural Beauty Growers and
Lehmann’s Bakery again this year. There are a variety of choices for
poinsettias, kringles, and cookie dough. The poinsettias will help beautify
your home for the upcoming holidays, and the kringles and cookie dough make
wonderful gifts, as well as treats for your family. See a Band or Choir
student to order! The sale runs until October 24th and delivery will be
November 22nd.

*Musical information*: Sheboygan Falls High School Proudly Presents: 9 to
5, November 7, 8, 9 @ 7:00 pm Online Tickets ( showtix4u.com search
Sheboygan Falls) $8 Adults $5 Children (18 and under) (anyone who needs
their own seat) $5 Senior. At the door tickets: $10 Adults $5 Children (18
and under) (anyone who needs their own seat) $5 Senior. SDSF district
staff may receive two free tickets at the door. SFHS students are free at
the door.

*Juniors and Seniors*, we will have several visitors the week of October 14
in the Counseling Office: on Tuesday, October 15th the UW Stevens Point
Rep will be in the Counseling Office during lunches; on Wednesday, October
16 a rep from Trinity Christian College in Illinois will be in the
Counseling Office during Enhancement; and on Thursday, October 17 the LTC
Rep will be in the Counseling Office during Enhancement. Just a sneak peek
into the following week, a MSOE rep will be in the Counseling Office during
lunches on Monday, October 21. For the lunch visitors, just grab your
lunch and come to the Counseling Office to eat and visit. For the
Enhancement visitors, please sign up in Falcon Scheduling. If you forget,
come to the Counseling Office to get signed up.

*ABOVE AND BEYOND*

Kierra S – Mr. Berlin – for taking everyone’s lunch trays at her table to
the wash station for them.

Madison U – Mark Thompson – For selflessly giving up her own work time to
help a classmate create a project on the 1920s and teach us all some
classic dance moves in the process.

Ariel P and Kaylei N – Mrs. Federer – Stayed in the library after a book
event to put all the books in order for shelving. Very thoughtful and
helpful!

Atty S – Ms. Syverson – Looking out for his classmates and helping
de-escalate a situation between two of his friends.

*SPORTS*

*VAR/JV Soccer (A) Oostburg – 4:00 p.m. Bus leaves at 3:00. Please
dismiss at 2:45.*

*JV2/JV/VAR Volleyball (H) Roncalli – 5:30/7:00*

*ATTN: anyone interested in being a stat or part of the wrestling team*,
there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, October 17, in the
auditorium during Enhancement. Sign up under Mrs. Spielvogel in Falcon
Scheduling.

*Anyone interested in participating in boys’ basketball this winter* and
have not signed up yet, can sign up in Mr. Henney’s room.

*COUNSELING CENTER*

*If students are interested in taking an AP exam*, they may sign up and pay
in the Counseling Office with Mrs. Groth either before or after school or
during lunch. Sign up will end today October 15. The cost of each AP exam
is $94, and may be paid in cash or by check (made out to SDSF).

*Seniors:* Check your ACP canvas page for details on some scholarship
opportunities, including the Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship. Applications
are due Nov. 5th.

*Juniors and Seniors!!* Are you in the process of figuring out what you
want to do after high school? If so, the Wisconsin Education Fair is
something you will not want to miss!! Sheboygan Falls High School will be
taking 40 lucky students along to Lakeland University on Friday, October
18th from 9 -10:30 a.m. to the Education Fair being held there. There will
be approximately 100 postsecondary institutions in one location, including
military recruiters! You have until Wednesday, October 16th at the end of
the day to get signed up and turn in a field trip form in the Counseling
Office. There is also an online registration you will need to complete.
Mrs. Groth will email you a link for the online registration once you have
signed up. Come to the Counseling Office soon!!

*A reminder for Seniors!!* If you need a transcript/ACT scores to send to
colleges/universities that you are applying to, please stop in the
Counseling Office. Mrs. Groth will get those ready for you and then you
will send them where you want them to go. If you are applying to UW
Madison, UW LaCrosse, or UW Green Bay you must send them your ACT scores
through the ACT website. All other colleges/universities will accept a
copy of your scores from us. Any questions, please see Mrs. Groth.
