*GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS*

*Students! Would you like the opportunity to travel to Washington DC and
Madison?* The Close Up Club will be meeting today, Friday. If you’re
interested, come find out what the club is all about! The meeting will be
in Mrs. Flagstad’s room A110. Please see me so I can schedule you for
Friday’s meeting. Come join us for more details.

*Need a snack during the day?* The snack vending machine located in the
gym lobby is on 24/7.

*REMINDER: Key Club meeting* today, Friday during Enhancement in Rm A116.

*Attention Seniors:* Do you feel overwhelmed by the prospect of entering
the Real World in just 8 short months? Do scholarship nightmares plague
your sleep? Does the mere thought of FAFSA send a shiver down your spine?
Would the scariest Halloween costume be the Common App? Fear not, for we
have a solution to all your senior-year fears. The Senior Application Club
is meeting today, during enhancement, Friday, October 18 in Ms. Enright’s
room (210), with Ms. Enright & Ms. Lintereur. Sign up for Ms. Enright’s
enhancement to keep the goblins and ghouls of college and scholarship
applications at bay.

*Musical information*: Sheboygan Falls High School Proudly Presents: 9 to
5, November 7, 8, 9 @ 7:00 pm Online Tickets (showtix4u.com search
Sheboygan Falls) $8 Adults $5 Children (18 and under) (anyone who needs
their own seat) $5 Senior. At the door tickets: $10 Adults $5 Children (18
and under) (anyone who needs their own seat) $5 Senior. SDSF district
staff may receive two free tickets at the door. SFHS students are free at
the door.

*The Sheboygan Falls Aquatic Center is hiring lifeguards* for this school
year and beyond. There will be a Lifeguard Training Course November 15-17.
If you are interested in the course and employment at the SFAC please see
Mr. Hansen in the pool area.

*ABOVE AND BEYOND*

Kierra S – Mr. Berlin – for taking everyone’s lunch trays at her table to
the wash station for them.

Madison U – Mark Thompson – For selflessly giving up her own work time to
help a classmate create a project on the 1920s and teach us all some
classic dance moves in the process.

Ariel P and Kaylei N – Mrs. Federer – Stayed in the library after a book
event to put all the books in order for shelving. Very thoughtful and
helpful!

Atty S – Ms. Syverson – Looking out for his classmates and helping
de-escalate a situation between two of his friends.

*SPORTS*

*VAR Football (H) Chilton – 7:00 p.m*

*Congrats to Jon B on scoring his record breaking 42nd goal of the season
in a 4-1 win over Random Lake.* The win moves us to 11-4-1 on the season.
We play our first playoff game next Thursday at home at 4:00pm. Come
support the Falcon Soccer team!!

*VAR Girls Swimming (A) Shorewood – 9:30 a.m.*

*X-Country Conference Meet (H) 10:00 a.m.*

*ATTN: anyone interested in being a part of a BOYS SWIM TEAM, *we will be
Co-oping with Sheboygan South this year. This is a winter sport, please
sign up in the main office or email [email protected] with questions.
Parent meeting is October 30th, 5:45 at Sheboygan South.

*Anyone interested in participating in boys’ basketball this winter* and
have not signed up yet, can sign up in Mr. Henney’s room.

*COUNSELING CENTER*

*Seniors:* Check your ACP canvas page for details on some scholarship
opportunities, including the Herb Kohl Excellence Scholarship. Applications
are due Nov. 5th.

*A reminder for Seniors!!* If you need a transcript/ACT scores to send to
colleges/universities that you are applying to, please stop in the
Counseling Office. Mrs. Groth will get those ready for you and then you
will send them where you want them to go. If you are applying to UW
Madison, UW LaCrosse, or UW Green Bay you must send them your ACT scores
through the ACT website. All other colleges/universities will accept a
copy of your scores from us. Any questions, please see Mrs. Groth.
