Starting Monday April 15th, we will also be serving breakfast grab and go
down by the social stairs for the convenience of the 7th & 8th graders that
go straight up. IF you are looking for the hot breakfast that will still be
down by the Cafe. WE look forward to seeing you for breakfast.

Any track athletes that have not already signed up for events for the track
meet on Monday must do so today. Check your email for the sign-up form.

Hello Falcon Middle Schooler’s! Our next Falcon Store will be Tuesday,
April 23 during your lunch hour. The store is located between the office
and the stage. Keep making good choices so you can earn Falcon Feathers! –

The 7th Grade Band will be traveling to Cedar Grove-Belgium MS on Thursday,
April 11th for a *Band Clinic Festival*. Students will be leaving the

*IT’s National Library Week!!* – Come in and guess how many puzzle pieces
are in the jar – and take a chance on winning the prize – which is the

Hello Sheboygan Falls Middle School students. Did you know that April is
Autism Awareness month? Some of you may know a lot about Autism and some
of you might not know much at all. Each week this month we will share with
you some facts about Autism during your peaceful start. This week, we will
watch a video about Autism. When the video is done, you will have the
opportunity to ask your teacher questions. Please remember to be
respectful and not use any names, although you may ask general questions.
In addition, to show your support, we would like you to wear blue or an
Autism t-shirt on Thursdays in April. Stay tuned each week for more
information!

This week’s fact about Autism: Did you know that approximately 1 in 59
children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder? No one knows
exactly what causes Autism. It is something someone is born with and you
can not catch it. Let’s watch a video to learn a little more about Autism.

Thursday, April 11th, and Friday, April 12th – School House Rock Chorus 3,
Saturday Night Cast, Lilly, and Lena. Please eat lunch with the 7th grade
and then meet in Mrs. Charbonneau for rehearsal for Kiwanis Club
performance on April 16th. Thanks!

Saturday Night Cast of School House Rock Live and Chorus 3 please stop in

Chorus auditions for A Million Dreams will be held on April 12th from
11:30-11:50 in Mrs. Charbonneau’s room.

The Chorus Concert on May 6th has been moved to 7:30 PM due to a track meet
in Mishicot.

The Sheboygan Sea scouts invite HS age students and 8th graders to attend
an open house at the Sheboygan Youth sailing center located at 619
Broughton Drive, Sheboygan on April 11th at 6pm

Start bagging up those soda tabs you’ve been collecting! Student Council
is sponsoring a Soda Tab Challenge. In the commons there will be four big
blue jugs. Deposit your tabs into the jug for your grade level from April
8 through April 26. Don’t worry, if we fill up the jugs, we have more!
The tabs will be donated to Ronald McDonald House. The grade level with
the most donations will receive an ice cream treat.

UFL COMBINE & sign up day Players will be registered, weighed, and scored
in numerous football drills! Their rankings will be used to draft them on
their teams for the fall. Drills will be in shorts and sneakers and will be
followed by Dodge ball and prizes At new Middle School Gym 6:00 till 8:00
pm April 22nd for grades 4th -7th. Coaches will be on hand for parents who

April 8-12 is Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in WI. The
statewide drill is scheduled for Friday. April 12th. The mock tornado
*watch* will be issued by the NWS at 1:00 followed by the *warning* at
1:45. The drill will conclude at 2:00.

The Lakeshore Youth Chorale is holding auditions for singers 2nd-12th
grades on Sunday, April 13th from 9-11 am at Trinity Lutheran Chruch in
Sheboygan. Please call Heather Hammond 920.918.5126 for more information

*SFMS Title One Family Night*

*Join us for a family fun night and learn how together, *

*parents and teachers, can support ALL students!*

*Thursday, April 11th from 5:30-7:30 pm*

Both the ES and MS will be hosting a *Cardboard Carnival Build Night*.

(If you have students in both buildings, you can decide the one in which
you’d like to work.) Families will come with their designs and plans and
use the Engineering Design Process to create their own carnival-style
game. The last 30 minutes of the event will be used to share games and try
out others’ creations! If you believe your creation will take longer to
build, we invite you to start your project prior to the build night and use
your time during the event to put on finishing touches.

Families will also have the opportunity to visit with SFMS staff and learn
about a variety of resources to help support learning at home. Raffle
tickets will be distributed toward a chance to win prizes!

*Rec Department – 5th-8th Grade Volleyball Program*

We are excited to offer a youth volleyball program through the SF Rec
Department this spring for boys and girls in grades 5-8. The program will
be a skills and drills type camp to introduce the sport of volleyball for
those who haven’t played competitively and to refine skills and prep for
Middle School and High School volleyball for those who have played
previously. Registration forms can be found in the Middle School office or
on the Rec Department website

*It’s MATH-A-THON time once again! Solve cool math problems and raise money
to help fight childhood cancer! *Middle school math teachers have taken
time to introduce the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to
students, sharing the goal of finding a cure for childhood cancer. Students
who signed up to participate will bring home their sponsor sheet by

work on Funbook

*April 22nd~ *All pledge sheets and donation funds returned to Mrs.
Fiorini/school office, in an envelope labeled with student’s full name and
grade

*May 3rd~* the winner of the POPCORN party will be announced. The math
class with the most contributing (meaning submitting some donation, whether
$1.00 or $100.00) students will be selected the winner!

*Students who have earned additional prizes from St Jude’s will receive
those prizes sometime in May. Please watch the student announcements. *

Time to order a 2018-2019 SFMS Yearbook is running out! *There are only 20
copies left* – order your copy before they’re gone! Order forms can be
picked up in the office and turned in there or to Ms. Dekanich in room 245.
Yearbooks are $25. Payments can be made by cash or check (please make
checks payable to the Sheboygan Falls School District).
