*The Nutcracker fieldtrip is “Full” at this time.*

*Attention 7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball Players:* December has arrived
which means the start of your season is only a month away! Please sign-up
in the office if you plan on playing this year. Then, before you leave for
winter break, make sure your fee has been paid, you’ve taken care of the
physical exam, and you and your parents have signed the athletic code,
parent permission, and concussion forms.

*ACTION ROOM NEWS!*

*ORNAMENT MAKING WORKSHOP!* Come to the ACTION Room on Mon. 12/8 and Tues.

during your lunch/recess period to make candy filled ornaments. Make one
for a soldier overseas and one to give as a gift! Pick up your lunch and
bring it with you at the start of the L/R period.

These edible creations are now on display at the Waelderhaus in Kohler
through the end of December. Stop by to see the great display and vote for
your favorites! Also, be sure to admire the remaining edible creations,
The Candy Castle, Countryside, Winter Wonderland and Sugar School in our
cafeteria.

*YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE NOW! *Be sure to order your 2014/2015 yearbook by
January 16th at the “early bird” price of $22.00. Go to our MS website
under Forms for Families to order online or to print off an order form.
Parents and Grandparents! Holiday Gift Certificates are available…
contact Mrs. Fiorini to receive a certificate to put under the tree this
year.

​*YEARBOOK STAFF…* please mark your calendars. There will* NOT *be a
meeting on Monday, December 8th. Please mark your planner for Monday,
December 22nd for our Holiday Celebration from 3:15 to 4:15PM in the ACTION
Room. ​

​*SPELLING BEE!**​* Grade level BEES will be held in LA classes between,
Dec. 15th – 22nd. If you are interested in reviewing a word list, please
pick one up from the ACTION Room bulletin board or see Mrs. Fiorini.

*Holiday contests are here: *Student Council is sponsoring two holiday
contests again this year. The door decorating contest will be done with
your Wednesday Falcon Time. Doors can be decorated in any holiday/winter
theme. The contest starts on Wednesday, December 3. Doors need to be
completed by Thursday, December 18 and they will be judged on Friday,
December 19. Winning doors will be announced on Monday, December 22.

There will also be an *ugly sweater contest* on Tuesday, December
16. So, raid those closets or attics and wear the ugliest sweater you can
find on the 16th.

Students – please practice responsible, Above the Line behaviors when you
have food outside. All trash should be placed in the trash cans. Inside the
school, please remember to place trash in the trash cans and recycling in

BAGGED ITEMS OF YOUR CHOICE, CAN BE ORDERED FROM THE KITCHEN IN ADVANCED BY
GOING TO THE SDSF WEBSITE AND LOOK UNDER FORMS.

*The Third Annual SFMS Craft & Vendor Fair, *sponsored by SFMS Student
Council, is being held in the middle school gym on Saturday, December 6
from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The gym is packed with vendors and we’ve filled the
lobby too. Besides over 40 crafters/vendors, the high school culinary
dept. is providing homemade concessions for breakfast and lunch. Admission
is free, so when you’re out for Main Street Memories, come and join us for
some great shopping at the middle school!

We are in need of newspaper & plastic containers with lids (like
cottage-cheese size containers) in the Art Room. Thank you for all your
kind donations!
