*Sheboygan Falls Middle School Announcements*
*September 17th *
*“B” Day*
Attention Parents & Students in Grades 6-8: it’s that time of year again!
I will start running interaction groups next month. If you are interested
in one of the groups explained below, stop in the office and get a form to
fill out (or print it from the blog on my website). Forms are due
back by October
3rd. Thank you, Mr.U.
All of us experience a wide range of emotions in our lives: anger, sadness,
stress, frustration. Usually, that’s a good thing. But sometimes we have
difficulty controlling our emotions-it can feel like our emotions are
taking over, spinning out of control with a mind of their own. To make
matters worse, these overwhelming emotions might be interfering with
school, causing trouble in your relationships and preventing you from
living a happier life. In *Falcon Strong*, we discuss ways to manage these
strong emotions, putting you back in control. It’s time to be *Falcon
Strong*!
*Go M.A.D.* is inspired by our annual M*ake a Difference Week*! We will
partake in mini-service projects,
learn about local charities, discuss topics centered around making a
difference in our lives &
assist faculty members with tasks. The purpose of *Go M.A.D.* is to feel
good about yourself by making a positive change in the world. Are you
ready to *Go M.A.D.* with us?!
Relationships are important to all of us. Most of our waking hours are
spent with peers, friends or family. everybody can use a few pointers to
help strengthen the relationships we have or to form new ones. *In good
company* gives you the opportunity to improve upon your relationship skills in
an attempt to get along better with others. Don’t we all want to be *In
good compan**y*? Then come join us as we investigate ways to build
healthier relationships with the people in our lives!
Being a middle schooler can be hard. Everything and everyone can sometimes
feel like they’re against you and better than anything you could ever hope
to be. Possessing little self-regard can lead people to become sad or to
fall short of their potential. But with a little hard work, you can feel
your best while doing your best and project the kind of self-confidence
Through discussions, self-reflection and activities, *Me,* *Myself*
*&* *I *aims
to help you feel good about yourself!
Freaked out? Insecure? Nervous? Emotional? As a middle schooler, those
emotions might be very common for you. Today’s teens face a wide range of
complex issues and challenges. The purpose of *Yes, I’m* *F**.**I**.**N**.*
*E**.* is to help you deal with your questions and concerns in a safe,
supportive place to
“just talk”–to share your feelings, problems, doubts, frustrations, hopes
and dreams with peers who care and adults who really listen. Join us for
this discussion group and together we will talk through some of the issues
you face as a middle schooler. It’s ok to be F.I.N.E.!
