\nDiversity Club – A group that promotes tolerance for all groups of people
\nand celebrates diversity in culture and ethnicity.<\/p>\n

We are looking for students that want to work together in making SFMS a
\nwelcoming place for ALL. Members of the Diversity Club are open-minded and
\nready to spread the message of inclusion and acceptance throughout the
\nschool and community. If you want to meet new people and learn from each
\nother about what makes us all unique, while having fun, this may be the
\nplace for you!<\/p>\n

Some ideas for our group include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Creating posters & designing school-wide activities to promote diversity<\/p>\n

\u2022 Planning a multicultural event for families<\/p>\n

\u2022 Safe place for open discussions on diversity, discrimination, and
\ntolerance<\/p>\n

We will be having our first meeting after school on Monday, January 16th
\nfrom 3:15-4:15 in Mrs. Kaiser\u2019s Room (226). This day also happens to be
\nMLK jr. Day! Please complete the survey on Classlink if you are interested
\nin attending and being a member of this group.<\/p>\n

Middle School Wrestling program- Wrestling is open to 5th-8th graders.<\/p>\n

Our first day of practice will be Monday, January 23rd. If you are planning
\non playing, please use the Classlink app to sign up. You’ll need to make
\nsure all of the necessary paperwork is completed<\/p>\n

Sheboygan Falls Middle School Spelling Bee: Maneuverable, blasphemous, and
\nchemotherapy! These words can be hard enough to say, let alone spell!
\nHowever, several of our students did just that during the Sheboygan Falls
\nMiddle School Spelling Bee. In December, students participated in classroom
\nspelling bees, with the top 2 spellers from each classroom moving on to the
\ngrade-level bees held after winter break. 3 finalists from each grade then
\nwent on to compete in the middle school bee on January 6.<\/p>\n

We want to give congratulations to our 2022-2023 SFMS Spelling Bee winner –
\n8th grader Siena M. Siena will move on to the regional spelling bee held
\nFebruary 2. Thank you to everyone who participated in the classroom bees,
\ngrade-level bees, and our grade-level finalists. From 5th grade, the
\nfinalists were Laney J., Nick H., and Deena D. From 6th grade, the
\nfinalists were Van M., Grant C., and Aaron B. From 7th grade, the
\nfinalists were Damon K., Chase K., and Adriana M. From 8th grade, the
\nfinalists were Siena M., Isaac H., and Logan G. Congratulations to all,
\nand good luck Siena!<\/p>\n

\nCongratulations to eighth-graders Abigail B, Victoria B, Mollie S, and<\/p>\n

Evelyn D, whose entry entitled Candy Cane Lane was a first-place winner<\/p>\n

at the Great Gingerbread Village Contest at the Waelderhaus in Kohler!<\/p>\n

The Kohler Foundation’s award is granted to the schools of winning teams to
\nhelp support participation in school enrichment opportunities for all
\nstudents.<\/p>\n
