Can you believe we are almost to the end of the school year? So hard to believe! The amount of learning and growing all of our students (and staff) have done this year is remarkable. We are not done yet and look forward to the remainder of the year\u2019s learning and activities. From concerts, to informances, field trips, and field day there are so many memorable moments for the remainder of our school year!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s remember to finish strong and safe with following our arrival and dismissal procedures, chaperone duties, and school celebrations. As part of our safety procedures, remember also per school policy, that pets are not allowed on the premises. While we love our pets at home, on school grounds, especially at drop off and pick up, we put them into extra stimulating situations.\u00a0 We want to keep everyone, human and canine, safe during our busiest times of day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the last several months, the Sheboygan Falls School Board has been evaluating our School District\u2019s facility needs and has started investigating possible solutions as the next step in our long-range facility plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, we are seeking your input! We invite you to take a survey to learn more about the District\u2019s needs, consider preliminary solutions, and contribute feedback to guide our next steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

The survey is available from now through <\/span>Monday, May 6th, 2024<\/span><\/strong>. It is completely anonymous and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take it online at <\/span>http:\/\/www.sdsfsurvey.org<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hard to believe we are already beginning to talk about next school year! For 2024-25, we have some positive scheduling changes coming, in addition to our usual planning. Come along with us as we prepare for these changes. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the class placement process for next year, you can find more information <\/span>HERE<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Also, next year, school hours will change slightly (7:55 AM – 3:08 PM), as well as our overall calendar.\u00a0 Fortunately, there is plenty of time to plan for these shifts.\u00a0 We are excited to build a calendar and schedule that more fully supports our students and families on their paths. The inter-district public school Open Enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside or to remain in their current district in the event that they move out of the district before the start of the 2024-25 school year (Moving? See\u00a0<\/span>HERE<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>for more information on remaining in the District through the school year).\u00a0Open Enrollment will allow student(s) to continue attending school in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Please call Lisa Berg at 920-467-7893 for additional information or check the Department of Public Instruction Website at:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(also check the 2024-25 Open Enrollment Regular Application Period Brochure).<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no tuition cost for students participating in the Open Enrollment program, but parents are responsible for transporting their student(s) to and from school.<\/span><\/p>\n

The open enrollment period for the 2024-25 school year is from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications must be done on the DPI (Department of Public Instruction) website at\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0A link to this site will also be available on the school web site during the application period at:\u00a0<\/span>www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0The DPI website will be active from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Warmer weather brings a lot of joy, but it is also a time that many people experience cold-like symptoms due to higher pollen\u00a0levels.\u00a0 We are already seeing a lot of students who report itchy \/ sore throats, runny noses, and itchy \/ watery eyes. The chart below can be used to help you figure out what your child is experiencing and to decide which medications will help relieve their symptoms.<\/p>\n

Asthma symptoms are often triggered in spring as well.\u00a0 According to the CDC, exposure to pollen has been linked to asthma attacks and increases in hospital admissions for respiratory illness.\u00a0 If you are concerned about your child’s symptoms, talk to their doctor to determine treatment options.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
