Hello Sheboygan Falls Families!<\/span><\/p>\n

Spring is almost here! For March and April we are riding the Energy Bus and we are Loving Our Passengers! We are showing our appreciation for our staff and students in many ways. For staff, we flipped a staff meeting, and are having Shamrock Sundaes. For students we are working on positive notes and on April 1st, we are having two assemblies around this theme. We are excited to have the 2nd graders and 4th graders perform one of their concert performances for the school! We will definitely be showing appreciation for their time and talents!<\/span><\/p>\n

Springtime in a school is a culmination of so many experiences and learning from our year!\u00a0 Special thanks to our Falcon Families (PTO group) for the many ways they support our school.\u00a0 It is also field trip season, and we are so grateful to Falcon Families for ensuring that each student can experience these special learning events.\u00a0 Staff work hard to identify the best experiences that enhance student learning, and provide social and cultural experiences, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Single Referendum Question Proposed to Address Critical Needs & School Improvements<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
\n

As previously communicated, there will be a single referendum question on the April 1, 2025 ballot addressing the <\/span>most urgent space and critical capital improvement needs at the elementary school and the safety, aging building systems, and outdated, inefficient learning spaces at the high school.<\/p>\n

In direct response to voter feedback, the revised facilities plan has been reduced to a not-to-exceed total project cost of $70 million. The School Board has eliminated the second question proposed in November 2024, which included building a new auxiliary gym, new multi-sport field, and new track for $21.5 million. They have also reduced the first question focused on elementary and high school improvements by more than $8 million by removing space for childcare and further prioritizing projects at both buildings. The proposed $70 million project includes the highest-priority projects, focused on providing space at the Elementary School, investing in existing buildings, and improving learning environments.<\/p>\n

As communicated to families via email on Friday, March 14th, we want to inform you of a temporary road closure that will impact pick-up and drop-off procedures at the Elementary School\u00a0and Middle School\u00a0<\/span>starting Monday, March\u00a031, 2025,<\/strong> and lasting until approximately\u00a0September 1st, 2025<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Fond\u00a0du Lac Ave\u00a0<\/span>will be closed between\u00a0Rangeline Road\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0Oak Street\u00a0<\/span>due to\u00a0road\u00a0construction and utility work<\/span>. This closure will affect our usual traffic flow during arrival and dismissal times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

**WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:**<\/strong><\/p>\n

Increased Traffic and Delays<\/strong>: Please expect significant traffic congestion and delays during pick-up and drop-off.<\/p>\n

Alternate Routes:<\/strong> We recommend planning alternate routes to and from the school.\u00a0<\/span>Please\u00a0review this <\/span>GUIDE<\/strong><\/a> and<\/span> EXPLANATION VIDEO<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>for\u00a0traffic plans and new drop-off\/pick-up procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bus Riders:\u00a0<\/strong>The bus company will pick up students 5 minutes earlier<\/strong> than the current pick-up time. \u00a0Please plan to have students ready on time. \u00a0 This applies to all bus riders (ES, MS, HS).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Extra Time:\u00a0<\/strong>Please allow ample extra time for your commute to and from school.<\/p>\n

Patience and Cooperation:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. Please be mindful of other drivers, pedestrians, and school staff directing traffic.<\/p>\n

We understand that this road closure may cause inconvenience, and we apologize for any disruption it may cause to your daily routine. We are working closely with the City of Sheboygan Falls to minimize the impact and ensure the safety of our students.<\/p>\n

The inter-district public school Open Enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside or to remain in their current district in the event that they move out of the district before the start of the 2025-26 school year (Moving? See\u00a0<\/span>HERE<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for more information on remaining in the District through the school year).\u00a0Open Enrollment will allow student(s) to continue attending school in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Please call Lisa Berg at 920-467-7893 for additional information or check the Department of Public Instruction Website at:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(also check the 2025-26 Open Enrollment Regular Application Period Brochure).<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no tuition cost for students participating in the Open Enrollment program, but parents are responsible for transporting their student(s) to and from school.<\/span><\/p>\n
