Greetings, Falcon Families!<\/p>\n

As we head into second semester, it’s a great time to think about how far our students have come this school year, as well as the great potential remaining! \u00a0One exciting piece we are continuing to develop and offer is a Maker Space here at SFES. \u00a0If you are not familiar, a Maker Space is a place for students to create within a genre that they enjoy, with support from an adult. \u00a0You may have noticed our call for “useable junk” on our facebook page or tweets. \u00a0This “stuff,” in addition to some targeted materials (such as kid-friendly circuit boards and pegs for building cardboard creations) will be used by all students and shared for “family build nights” as we gain momentum on this offering.<\/p>\n

This is just one example of the thinking and planning that is happening in our building! \u00a0Our staff are engaged in a multitude of research and learning initiatives that help us to become better at our craft each day. \u00a0One way you can become involved is to consider joining our SFES Parent-Teacher Organization. \u00a0Our next meeting is scheduled for March 9th at 6:15 PM here at SFES. \u00a0We welcome your participation! \u00a0Thank you for partnering with us to expand on our exceptional school community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As of Friday, \u00a0January 9th, the 4th grade “First in Math” team took over the #1 spot for the state of Wisconsin representing\u00a04th grade teams with an average score of 3,966 total sticker points.\u00a0 They were battling in 2nd place for several months.\u00a0 Our very own Jacob Richter, 4th grade team member, \u00a0is \"\" gaining on the 1st place spot for all 4th graders individual players\u00a0in Wisconsin.\u00a0 He has a current total of 9,328 sticker points.\u00a0 Way to go 4th grade team!!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In February, 3rd Grade is going on a dogsledding adventure \"\" to the Siberian Outpost in Malone!\u00a0 This field trip enhances our literacy unit on dogsledding, in which the children read about sled dogs, the Iditarod, Balto and the book\u00a0Stone Fox!\u00a0 This field trip enables the children with an up-close and memorable experience with dogsledding.<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
