The second semester is in full swing, and we are actually already at the halfway mark of the third quarter.\u00a0 Just because parent teacher conferences are next month (March 9th) it doesn\u2019t mean you have to wait to reach out to the teachers of your student(s) until then.\u00a0 Please know you can reach out to teachers at any time. If you would like to sign-up for conferences, there will be an Infinite Campus (IC) message emailed in the near future. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students and staff started the new year with a focus on social emotional skills including managing emotions, mindfulness, and relaxation skills.\u00a0 Students were able to learn, communicate, and reflect on implementing possible strategies for future reference.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students and staff are taking part in a school-wide celebration this month.\u00a0 The theme will be \u201cMinute to Win It.\u201d Staff and students will be able to enjoy different games and activities.\u00a0 The message will reiterate the 1st day of school celebration, respecting one another by treating others how you want to be treated and continually improving every day in all of the different facets of learning.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our District has had an increase in students making themselves sick by dry-scooping pre-workout supplements. If taken properly, the powdery substances should be diluted in water and consumed prior to a workout.\u00a0Unfortunately, the trend that has gained in popularity on Tik Tok encourages consuming the powder right from the scoop, without dilution. This is known as \u201cdry scooping\u201d, and it has many dangerous side effects. There has been at least one documented case of a social media influencer experiencing a heart attack from dry scooping a pre-workout powder.<\/span><\/p>\n

The safety of our students is of the utmost importance. We are hoping this information will promote healthy conversations within your families. Encourage proper hydration being key and using caution with these powders due to the high caffeine content.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
