Spring is officially here with the end of the 3rd quarter fast approaching (this Friday!) and Spring Break next week.\u00a0 The 3rd quarter marks a great time to reflect on the growth that our students and staff have made together.\u00a0 It\u2019s also a reminder that there’s still a lot of teaching and learning yet to take place.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

If you were not able to come to conferences this month, please take a moment to check your student’s progress on Infinite Campus.\u00a0 As always, please reach out to our staff if you have any questions or concerns.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

During the month of March the Middle School conducted our spring ALICE drill.\u00a0 Students and\u00a0 staff spent time during the week of the drill reviewing the protocol before practicing out a specific scenario.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As a reminder, we are in state assessment \u201cseason\u201d across the state of Wisconsin.\u00a0 Similar to prior years, the Middle School is running modified schedules to accommodate for the different tests.\u00a0 The students will be provided a light breakfast as they enter the building before taking the assessments in the morning.\u00a0 We appreciate your help and cooperation in getting the students headphones and reiterating the importance of the exams.\u00a0 Thank you!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The inter-district public school Open Enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside or to remain in their current district in the event that they move out of the district before the start of the 2024-25 school year (Moving? See\u00a0<\/span>HERE<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>for more information on remaining in the District through the school year).\u00a0Open Enrollment will allow student(s) to continue attending school in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Please call Lisa Berg at 920-467-7893 for additional information or check the Department of Public Instruction Website at:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(also check the 2024-25 Open Enrollment Regular Application Period Brochure).<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no tuition cost for students participating in the Open Enrollment program, but parents are responsible for transporting their student(s) to and from school.<\/span><\/p>\n

The open enrollment period for the 2024-25 school year is from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications must be done on the DPI (Department of Public Instruction) website at\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0A link to this site will also be available on the school web site during the application period at:\u00a0<\/span>www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0The DPI website will be active from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you anticipate a possible move out of the School District of Sheboygan Falls, please complete the Open Enrollment application as soon as possible.\u00a0You have the right to cancel your application at any time and are not bound to enrollment.\u00a0If you are currently attending under a Tuition Waiver, you will need to complete an Open Enrollment application for the upcoming school year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The CDC has issued\u00a0<\/span>new guidelines for COVID-19.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>It is no longer necessary to isolate for 5 days.<\/strong>\u00a0 The School District of Sheboygan Falls will start following the same guidelines for COVID-19 as we do for influenza and other viruses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours without taking fever reducing medications.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
