We are fast approaching the midpoint of the fourth quarter already, which is crazy to think about!\u00a0 Although summer is on the horizon we do have a lot of teaching and learning to take place as we wrap up the year and finish strong.\u00a0 With state testing completed, students will finish their end of the year I-ready assessments in May.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you families for the support in taking the assessments seriously, we look forward to reviewing the data and growth that students made over the school year!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dear Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the last several months, the Sheboygan Falls School Board has been evaluating our School District\u2019s facility needs and has started investigating possible solutions as the next step in our long-range facility plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, we are seeking your input! We invite you to take a survey to learn more about the District\u2019s needs, consider preliminary solutions, and contribute feedback to guide our next steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

The survey is available from now through <\/span>Monday, May 6th, 2024<\/span><\/strong>. It is completely anonymous and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take it online at <\/span>http:\/\/www.sdsfsurvey.org<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The inter-district public school Open Enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside or to remain in their current district in the event that they move out of the district before the start of the 2024-25 school year (Moving? See\u00a0<\/span>HERE<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>for more information on remaining in the District through the school year).\u00a0Open Enrollment will allow student(s) to continue attending school in the School District of Sheboygan Falls. Please call Lisa Berg at 920-467-7893 for additional information or check the Department of Public Instruction Website at:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(also check the 2024-25 Open Enrollment Regular Application Period Brochure).<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no tuition cost for students participating in the Open Enrollment program, but parents are responsible for transporting their student(s) to and from school.<\/span><\/p>\n

The open enrollment period for the 2024-25 school year is from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applications must be done on the DPI (Department of Public Instruction) website at\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/dpi.wi.gov\/open-enrollment<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0A link to this site will also be available on the school web site during the application period at:\u00a0<\/span>www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0The DPI website will be active from February 5th until 4:00 p.m. on April 30th, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you anticipate a possible move out of the School District of Sheboygan Falls, please complete the Open Enrollment application as soon as possible.\u00a0You have the right to cancel your application at any time and are not bound to enrollment.\u00a0If you are currently attending under a Tuition Waiver, you will need to complete an Open Enrollment application for the upcoming school year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Warmer weather brings a lot of joy, but it is also a time that many people experience cold-like symptoms due to higher pollen\u00a0levels.\u00a0 We are already seeing a lot of students who report itchy\/sore throats, runny noses, and itchy\/watery eyes. The chart below can be used to help you figure out what your child is experiencing and to decide which medications will help relieve their symptoms.<\/p>\n

Asthma symptoms are often triggered in spring as well.\u00a0 According to the CDC, exposure to pollen has been linked to asthma attacks and increases in hospital admissions for respiratory illness.\u00a0 If you are concerned about your child’s symptoms, talk to their doctor to determine treatment options.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
