We Want Your Candy!!

Wondering what you’re going to do with all that Halloween candy? Operation Gratitude is collecting candy to send to deployed U.S. service members. In addition to donating your candy, please consider writing a letter or drawing a picture to be included in care packages to let our service members know you care. This will run November 3^rd – 7^th from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Book Fair

The book fair is coming November 3^rd – November 11^th. The online fair will run from Saturday October 25^th – Friday November 14^th. You may access the online fair at www.scholastic.com/fair.

This year our school is participating in a coin challenge for the Scholastic Book Fair’s All for Books program. Our school gets to use the money and Scholastic has a matching program.

Rec Department to Offer Art Classes for kids/families

CLOSING OF SCHOOLS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

As winter approaches, it is again time to make plans for possible school closings due to inclement weather.  The procedures that have been followed by the School District of Sheboygan Falls over the past several years will be followed again this year.

This means that any decision to close schools for all or any portion of a school day will be made as early as possible in order to afford parents the opportunity to make alternate child care or transportation plans.  All closing announcements or early dismissals will be made on the school web page:  www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us, School Messenger family/staff notification service, and on the following area radio stations:

REMINDERS – STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP

Unless a parent or guardian needs to come into the building to meet with a staff member, they should not bring their children into the building. To help students learn independence, they need to line up and enter with the other students.

Students who are being picked up after school are dismissed at the northeast atrium Door #1. This is the pick-up/drop off circle.  

Remember that if you are going to get out of your car to pick up your child, you cannot park in the drop off circle. At no time will students be allowed to cross a street or walk through a parking lot without an adult. When students are dropped off in the morning, they are expected to walk to the playground on the outside sidewalks. They should not go through the building to get to the playground.

Please do not park on either side of the road directly in front of school.  The front parking lot on the west side of the building, near the pick-up lane, should be used for parents picking up their children.  At no time should children be left unattended in the parking lot or to cross the street.

Thank you for your cooperation in working with us to keep your children safe at all times.

The SF Aquatic Center will be open extended hours (1:30-3:30pm) for Open Swim on Thursday, October 23rd and Friday, October 24th.  Free admission for all pass members and just $3 for SF resident children!

Future Falconettes Dance Mini-Camp for girls in Grades 1-4:

The Sheboygan Falls Varsity Dance Team will be holding a Dance Mini-Camp this Friday afternoon, October 17.  Girls will learn a routine and perform at the football halftime that night. The cost is $30 at the door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Pizza!  Check-in begins at 3:30pm in the high school cafeteria. Any questions, call Kori at 467-0158.  It's not too late to come and join in the fun!

Please join the Sheboygan Falls Athletic Booster club for the Tailgate party to be held on Friday, October 10th from 4:30 – 6:30 in the Sheboygan Falls High School gym lobby. Brats, burgers, beans, potato salad, chips, drinks and dessert items are being served with carry-outs available as well. Sheboygan Falls Falcons spirit wear items are also available for sale during the event. Please join us in supporting our Sheboygan Falls Falcons football team prior to their Homecoming game. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Sheboygan Falls Varsity Dance Team will be holding a Dance Mini-Camp on the afternoon of Friday, October 17.  Girls will learn a routine and perform at the football halftime that night. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Pizza!  Registration forms are available in the scanned documents in the announcements, in the office, or from your teacher.  Forms must be returned to the school office by Wednesday, October 1 to receive the discounted price. No payment is due until check-in on October 17.
