HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/p>\n

September 13, 2024<\/p>\n

\nAttention Students: Parking permits are available for pick up in the High
\nSchool Office.<\/p>\n

Attention SFHS Students!<\/p>\n

Please remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus when it is dropping
\noff students. Not only is this against the law, but it can also be
\nextremely dangerous. Your safety and the safety of the students on the bus
\nare our top priority.<\/p>\n

Also, please don’t drive distracted. Please just put your phone down and
\nfocus on the road. Let’s all do our part to ensure a safe and enjoyable
\nschool year.<\/p>\n

If you are in 10th or 11th grade and interested in taking the PSAT, please
\nsign up in the counseling office. The cost is $18 and must be paid to
\nreserve your spot. There are only 21 spots remaining. Deadline to sign up
\nwill be Friday, Sept. 20th. The PSAT is an opportunity to practice a
\nstandardized test before the ACT. The test will be taken on Oct. 16th.
\nPlease email Mr. Koepsell if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

Students, we will have some more visitors coming to SFHS! First, on
\nMonday, September 16 our Army National Guard\/ROTC recruiter will be at SFHS
\nduring lunches outside the cafeteria. Please make him feel welcome, but
\nreturn to the cafeteria when you’re done talking with him.On Tuesday,
\nSeptember 17, our LTC Start College Now advisor will be back in the
\nCounseling Office during SOAR. Please use the Google form sent out in
\nemails to get signed up to meet with her. Also, that same day during SOAR,
\nthe other LTC advisor will be here to meet with any students who have
\nquestions or want more information on attending LTC after high school.
\nThere will be a separate Google Form for her visit. On Wednesday,
\nSeptember 18 during Enhancement, our Marines recruiter will be in the
\nCounseling Office during Enhancement to meet with any students who want to
\nlearn more about the military’s ROTC scholarship program. This scholarship
\nis pretty much a full ride, so if you are anxious about paying for further
\neducation and don’t mind giving some time to the military in return for
\nthem paying for that education, you will want to sign up for this meeting
\nto get more information. Finally, on Thursday, September 19, our YA
\nrep,Casie, will be at SFHS for a period of time in the morning. This visit
\nwill be with students she is requesting, so there will not be a sign up.<\/p>\n

FBLA will be hosting their yearly kickoff meeting, this Friday, September
\n13th in Ms. Kuehne\u2019s room A147. All students interested in FBLA are
\nencouraged to sign up in Elastic Class.<\/p>\n

Attention all students in a math class: You are required to have a
\ngraphing calculator for math. If you need to rent one from the school,
\nplease get your rental form to Mrs. Franklin in A104 as soon as possible!
\nCalculators are going fast! You can get a form from a math teacher or from
\nthe “Forms for Families” section on the school’s website.<\/p>\n

Attention all math whizzes: The annual Lakeland Math meet is approaching
\nfast! If you are interested in practicing for the math meet, please
\ncontact Mrs. Franklin in A104 and save the date for the meet on Monday,
\nOctober 21st, 2024 at 5:30.<\/p>\n

\nThis google form is being used so we can get student input on what songs to
\nplay for our homecoming dance. We are trying to put a playlist together,
\nand any song that you would like to request has to be APPROPRIATE. Please
\nfill out this form BEFORE September 13th.<\/p>\n

Attention FFA members! The first FFA meeting will be held on Monday,
\nSeptember 16th at 7:00 pm in Ms. Hand’s room. New members are welcome to

\nSFHS FBLA will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, September
\n26th in the high school gym, from 9:00am-2:00pm. Students and staff are
\nwelcome and encouraged to donate. Students must be over the age of 16. All
\nstudents under the age of 17 must fill out a parental consent form, found
\nin Ms. Kuehne\u2019s Room A147. Thank you for considering to save lives! Photo
\nID\u2019s are required.<\/p>\n

Robotics: Robotics club meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm – 7pm in
\nroom E108. If interested in learning more about Robotics or want to come to
\na meeting, please reach out to Mr Schwinn, or anyone on the robotics team.<\/p>\n

Robotics needs more than just designers, programmers, and fabricators. They
\nalso need business people to handle finances and documentation.<\/p>\n

Parents meeting for Robotics is Tuesday, October 1st from 6pm – 7pm in room
\nE108 of the high school.<\/p>\n

The Sheboygan Falls Aquatic Center is hiring lifeguards\u2026<\/p>\n

There will be a Lifeguard Training Course beginning on September 22nd. If
\nyou are interested in the course and employment at the SFAC please see Mr.
\nHansen in the pool area.<\/p>\n
