Please return it<br \/>\nas soon as possible. Currently, we no longer have any to hand out. Thank<br \/>\nyou!<\/p>\n<p>\nGuest passes for homecoming will be available in the main office beginning<br \/>\nMonday, September 16th. Among these<br \/>\ncommunities, the deaf population and those with hearing disabilities hold a<br \/>\nsignificant place. In fact, there are currently over 70 million deaf people<br \/>\n<<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/observances\/sign-languages-day\">www.un.org\/en\/observances\/sign-languages-day<\/a>>worldwide. The<br \/>\nInternational Week of Deaf People, also known as Deaf Awareness Week, is an<br \/>\nannual global event that aims to shed light on the issues faced by the deaf<br \/>\ncommunity, promote their culture and achievements, and foster a more<br \/>\ninclusive society. &#8211; Hand Talk<\/p>\n<p>SFHS staff and students participated in Deaf Awareness Week by learning<br \/>\nsome words in American Sign Language.  Please stop by the cafeteria windows<br \/>\nand check them out!<\/p>\n<p>Attention SFHS Students!<\/p>\n<p>Please remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus when it is dropping<br \/>\noff students. Not only is this against the law, but it can also be<br \/>\nextremely dangerous. Your safety and the safety of the students on the bus<br \/>\nare our top priority.<\/p>\n<p>Also, please don&#8217;t drive distracted. Please just put your phone down and<br \/>\nfocus on the road. Let&#8217;s all do our part to ensure a safe and enjoyable<br \/>\nschool year.<\/p>\n<p>Attention students!  More visitors are coming soon! On Wednesday, September<br \/>\n25 we will have a rep in the Counseling Office during SOAR from UW<br \/>\nWhitewater.  You will have another Google Form in your email to fill out<br \/>\nfor this visit. Also on Wednesday, September 25 during SOAR our YA rep will<br \/>\nbe here to meet with students she is wanting to see.  Mrs. Groth will<br \/>\nrequest you for SOAR that day if you are on her list. Finally, on<br \/>\nWednesday, September 25 during lunches we will have a recruiter outside the<br \/>\ncafeteria from the US Coast Guard.  As always, please feel free to go talk<br \/>\nwith him, but return to the lunch room when you have finished.<\/p>\n<p>\nSFHS FBLA will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, September<br \/>\n26th in the high school gym, from 9:00am-2:00pm. Students and staff are<br \/>\nwelcome and encouraged to donate. Students must be over the age of 16. All<br \/>\nstudents under the age of 17 must fill out a parental consent form, found<br \/>\nin Ms. Kuehne\u2019s Room A147. Thank you for considering to save lives! We are looking for adults to judge<br \/>\npresentation events and volunteers to support FBLA members during<br \/>\nconcessions and lunch service.<\/p>\n<p>ALL FBLA TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS<\/p>\n<p>There will be a meeting in Ms. Kuehne&#8217;s room (A147) next Wednesday during<br \/>\nSOAR (Oct 2). We will be planning our first tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The Fishing Club will be having its first meeting of the year Wednesday<br \/>\nSept 25th at 6pm in the High School cafeteria. Parents are always welcome<br \/>\nto our meetings and activities.We will discuss events we can do along with<br \/>\ntaking your suggestions on what you would like to see out of the fishing<br \/>\nclub.If you are unable to attend and want to join the fishing club please<br \/>\nreach out to me at <a href=\"mailto:kliebenstein@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us\" >kliebenstein@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you are a student who has at least a 3.4 GPA or above and are also a<br \/>\njunior or a senior in good standing please look for an important email from<br \/>\nMrs. Franklin on how to apply for The National Honor Society.  The emails<br \/>\nwill go out today, Tuesday, September 24th, 2024.  If you did not receive<br \/>\nan email with an application and you feel you should have, please contact<br \/>\nMrs. Franklin directly.  Current NHS students do not need to reapply.<\/p>\n<p>Robotics: Robotics club meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm &#8211; 7pm in<br \/>\nroom E108. If interested in learning more about Robotics or want to come to<br \/>\na meeting, please reach out to Mr Schwinn, or anyone on the robotics team.<\/p>\n<p>Robotics needs more than just designers, programmers, and fabricators. They<br \/>\nalso need business people to handle finances and documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Parents meeting for Robotics is Tuesday, October 1st from 6pm &#8211; 7pm in room<br \/>\nE108 of the high school.<\/p>\n<p>Interested in joining KEY CLUB? Key Club is a student-led organization<br \/>\nwhich provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build<br \/>\ncharacter, and develop leadership through community and school related<br \/>\nservice projects. Key Club is associated with the local Sheboygan Falls<br \/>\nKiwanis Club and many activity projects are coordinated with them. What to<br \/>\nlearn more?
