HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/p>\n

October 24, 2024<\/p>\n

\nAttention students! We will have several more visitors coming up!! On Monday,
\nOctober 28, our US Coast Guard rep will be outside the cafeteria during
\nlunches. Please feel free to talk with him, but return to the cafeteria
\nwhen you are done. On Tuesday, October 29 both of our LTC reps will be in
\nthe Counseling Office during SOAR-one to meet with students about Start
\nCollege Now courses, and one to meet with any students who might want to
\nlearn more about taking classes at LTC after they are done with high
\nschool. On Wednesday, October 30 our Youth Apprenticeship rep will be in
\nthe Counseling Office during SOAR to meet with any students interested in
\nlearning more about doing a Youth Apprenticeship. Finally, we will have a
\nrep from UW Stevens Point (rescheduled) in the Counseling Office during
\nSOAR on Thursday, October 31 to meet with any interested students. For the
\ncollege visits and the Youth Apprenticeship visit, please see your email
\nfor a Google Form from Mrs. Groth to get signed up for any\/all of these
\nvisits.<\/p>\n

Attention Boys Basketball Players –<\/p>\n

Meeting Today!<\/p>\n

Anyone interested in playing basketball this year, please attend the short Boys
\nBasketball meeting after school on Thursday in the cafeteria! The meeting
\nwill start after school at 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please reach out to Coach Korff by
\nemailing him your information – ckorff@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a><\/p>\n

Do you like to volunteer and enjoy working with people? You should join Key
\nClub! It’s not too late to join. Please email Ms. Jarosch and she will sign
\nyou up!<\/p>\n

Attention! SFHS PENNY WAR<\/p>\n

You have surely heard about Hurricane Helene and Milton that recently
\ndecimated six southern states. Hurricane Helene dumped 42 trillion gallons
\nof rain over those states, which is the equivalent to the flow of Niagara
\nFalls for 1.75 years. It killed over 230 people and left a path of
\ndestruction for 500 miles. Hurricane Milton dropped 3.4 trillion gallons of
\nrain in Florida and left many homes and communities destroyed.<\/p>\n

Key Club and NHS are partnering to raise funds for hurricane relief. This
\nis in your 3rd hour class! You can bring in money to your 3rd hour anytime
\nthroughout the day from Wednesday, October 23 to next Friday, November 1.<\/p>\n

Pennies count for your class and silver coins\/dollars count against your
\nclass! You can sabotage other 3rd hour classes by putting silver
\ncoins\/dollars in their buckets!<\/p>\n

Prize for winning: the 3rd hour that earned the most pennies the week of
\nNovember 4th will get donuts on Monday, pizza on Wednesday, and cookies
\n(baked goods) on Friday.<\/p>\n

This starts Wednesday, October 23rd and ends Friday, November 1 at 3:20<\/p>\n

The Goal: $3,000 we will split the profit amongst 3 organizations: Red
\nCross, Humane Society, and Global Empowerment Mission<\/p>\n

Volunteer opportunities for NHS and Key Club students:<\/p>\n

SF Dance Invite 2024 Saturday, November 9th – We would love for any
\nvolunteers 14-18 to choose to work either as a concessions worker in the
\ncafeteria, score sheet runners, cafeteria cleaners or bake sale table
\nmonitor.<\/p>\n

\nbe due 12\/20 (the Friday before winter break). They are available for

Students! Be part of history! The 100th anniversary yearbook is available

\n$55 on 12\/1 and from $55 to $60 on 4\/12.<\/p>\n

FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA UPDATES<\/p>\n

If any parents, friends, or family are interested in volunteering at SFHS
\nFBLA Regional Leadership Competition, please reach out to Ms. Kuehne (
\nkrkuehne@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a>). We are looking for adults to judge
\npresentation events and volunteers to support FBLA members during
\nconcessions and lunch service<\/p>\n
