HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/p>\n

October 29, 2024<\/p>\n

We are trying a new location for A La Carte and will have it inside the
\nkitchen starting today.<\/p>\n

We’re excited to announce that Sheboygan Falls High School will celebrate
\nHalloween on Thursday, October 31st! Students are allowed to dress up in
\ncostumes, but please remember to keep them safe, appropriate, and
\nrespectful. Costumes must adhere to our school’s dress code and allow for
\nclear facial identification. Avoid masks, dangerous accessories, and items
\nthat could be mistaken for weapons. Let’s make this a fun and safe
\nHalloween for everyone!<\/p>\n

Attention students! We will have several more visitors coming up!! On
\nWednesday,
\nOctober 30 our Youth Apprenticeship rep will be in the Counseling Office
\nduring SOAR to meet with any students interested in learning more about
\ndoing a Youth Apprenticeship. During lunches on Wednesday, October 30, our
\nrecruiter from the US Army National Guard\/ROTC will be outside the
\ncafeteria. Finally, we will have a rep from UW Stevens Point (rescheduled)
\nin the Counseling Office during SOAR on Thursday, October 31 to meet with
\nany interested students. For the college visits and the Youth
\nApprenticeship visit, please see your email for a Google Form from Mrs.
\nGroth to get signed up for any\/all of these visits.<\/p>\n

Attention students in AP classes: If you are planning to take an AP exam
\nthis year, the deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, November 1st. Please
\nstop and see Mrs. Groth or Mr. Koepsell if you have any questions. You can
\npay with cash, check, or you can pay online in Infinite Campus, but you
\nneed to let the Counseling Office know what exams you are taking by Friday,
\nNovember 1st.<\/p>\n

Attention Juniors: There is a Prom meeting during SOAR Thursday, October
\n31st. Please sign up for Mrs. Franklin\u2019s SOAR.<\/p>\n

Please support our Spanish students as they participate in a service
\nproject!<\/p>\n

Students will be selling hand woven bracelets from Nicaragua and Guatemala
\nbeginning Monday, November 4th in the cafeteria. The sale will end on
\nThursday, November 7th. All proceeds from the sales are donated directly to
\nthe artists.<\/p>\n

New this year! Bracelets have dropped in price! They are now only $5 and purses
\nare $15. They make great Christmas gifts too!<\/p>\n

FFA members: The FFA Fruit Sale has started! Please pick up a fruit sale
\nform from Ms. Hand’s classroom door. Forms and money are due November 19.<\/p>\n

Do you like to volunteer and enjoy working with people? You should join Key
\nClub! It’s not too late to join. Please email Ms. Jarosch and she will sign
\nyou up!<\/p>\n

Attention! SFHS PENNY WAR<\/p>\n

You have surely heard about Hurricane Helene and Milton that recently
\ndecimated six southern states. Hurricane Helene dumped 42 trillion gallons
\nof rain over those states, which is the equivalent to the flow of Niagara
\nFalls for 1.75 years. It killed over 230 people and left a path of
\ndestruction for 500 miles. Hurricane Milton dropped 3.4 trillion gallons of
\nrain in Florida and left many homes and communities destroyed.<\/p>\n

Key Club and NHS are partnering to raise funds for hurricane relief. This
\nis in your 3rd hour class! You can bring in money to your 3rd hour anytime
\nthroughout the day from Wednesday, October 23 to next Friday, November 1.<\/p>\n

Pennies count for your class and silver coins\/dollars count against your
\nclass! You can sabotage other 3rd hour classes by putting silver
\ncoins\/dollars in their buckets!<\/p>\n

Prize for winning: the 3rd hour that earned the most pennies the week of
\nNovember 4th will get donuts on Monday, pizza on Wednesday, and cookies
\n(baked goods) on Friday.<\/p>\n

This starts Wednesday, October 23rd and ends Friday, November 1 at 3:20<\/p>\n

The Goal: $3,000 we will split the profit amongst 3 organizations: Red
\nCross, Humane Society, and Global Empowerment Mission<\/p>\n

Volunteer opportunities for NHS and Key Club students:<\/p>\n

SF Dance Invite 2024 Saturday, November 9th – We would love for any
\nvolunteers 14-18 to choose to work either as a concessions worker in the
\ncafeteria, score sheet runners, cafeteria cleaners or bake sale table
\nmonitor.<\/p>\n

\n$55 on 12\/1 and from $55 to $60 on 4\/12.<\/p>\n
