HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/p>\n

October 31, 2024<\/p>\n

We are trying a new location for A La Carte. We will have it inside the
\nkitchen.<\/p>\n

Attention students in AP classes: If you are planning to take an AP exam
\nthis year, the deadline to sign up and pay is Friday, November 1st. Please
\nstop and see Mrs. Groth or Mr. Koepsell if you have any questions. You can
\npay with cash, check, or you can pay online in Infinite Campus, but you
\nneed to let the Counseling Office know what exams you are taking by Friday,
\nNovember 1st.<\/p>\n

Attention students! We have many more visitors coming up! On Monday,
\nNovember 4, our US Navy Recruiter will be outside the cafeteria during
\nlunches. Then on Tuesday, November 5, our LTC Start College Now Rep will be
\nback during SOAR in the Counseling Office to meet with any students
\ninterested in talking with her. That same day, our US Coast Guard
\nRecruiter is supposed to be back during lunches outside the
\ncafeteria.Finally, on Thursday, November 7, our US Army Recruiter wants to
\nmeet with any 11th and 12th graders who want to find out more about how the
\nmilitary can help you with your post secondary plans, whether that be help
\nin paying for college, or exploring how the military can be a good option
\nfor those planning to go right into the workforce. There are many careers
\navailable in the military, from medical to police to mechanical, and many,
\nmany more. Mrs. Groth will send out Google Forms for the LTC visit on
\nTuesday and the US Army visit on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\nPlease support our Spanish students as they participate in a service
\nproject!<\/p>\n

Students will be selling hand woven bracelets from Nicaragua and Guatemala
\nbeginning Monday, November 4th in the cafeteria. The sale will end on
\nThursday, November 7th. All proceeds from the sales are donated directly to
\nthe artists.<\/p>\n

New this year! Bracelets have dropped in price! They are now only $5 and purses
\nare $15. They make great Christmas gifts too!<\/p>\n

The Meca Sportswear representative will be at Sheboygan Falls High School
\non Wednesday, November 6th to take orders for Letter Jackets.<\/p>\n

Jackets can be ordered between 12:00 \u2013 1:00 outside of the cafeteria.<\/p>\n

Students ordering jackets should bring any patches or award letters they<\/p>\n

would like to have sewn on their jacket on order day.<\/p>\n

A $175.00 deposit is required on order day.<\/p>\n

Please make checks payable to Meca Sportswear. Credit cards are also
\nacceptable.<\/p>\n

FBLA – Basketball Tournament<\/p>\n

Wednesday, November 6th starting at 6pm in the SFHS Gym<\/p>\n

Freshman\/Sophomore Teams vs Junior\/Senior Teams<\/p>\n

Winner of each game plays the staff!!!<\/p>\n

FFA members: The FFA Fruit Sale has started! Please pick up a fruit sale

Do you like to volunteer and enjoy working with people? You should join Key
\nClub! It’s not too late to join. Please email Ms. Jarosch and she will sign
\nyou up!<\/p>\n

Attention! SFHS PENNY WAR<\/p>\n

You have surely heard about Hurricane Helene and Milton that recently
\ndecimated six southern states. Hurricane Helene dumped 42 trillion gallons
\nof rain over those states, which is the equivalent to the flow of Niagara
\nFalls for 1.75 years. It killed over 230 people and left a path of
\ndestruction for 500 miles. Hurricane Milton dropped 3.4 trillion gallons of
\nrain in Florida and left many homes and communities destroyed.<\/p>\n

Key Club and NHS are partnering to raise funds for hurricane relief. This
\nis in your 3rd hour class! You can bring in money to your 3rd hour anytime
\nthroughout the day from Wednesday, October 23 to Thursday, October 31.<\/p>\n

Pennies count for your class and silver coins\/dollars count against your
\nclass! You can sabotage other 3rd hour classes by putting silver
\ncoins\/dollars in their buckets!<\/p>\n

Prize for winning: the 3rd hour that earned the most pennies the week of
\nNovember 4th will get donuts on Monday, pizza on Wednesday, and cookies
\n(baked goods) on Friday.<\/p>\n

This starts Wednesday, October 23rd and ends Thursday, October 31 at 3:20<\/p>\n

The Goal: $3,000 we will split the profit amongst 3 organizations: Red
\nCross, Humane Society, and Global Empowerment Mission<\/p>\n

BRING IN YOUR PENNIES STARTING ON WEDNESDAY!!!<\/p>\n

Senior photos are due 1\/3\/25 (the Friday after we come back from winter
\nbreak). Please submit them to Ms. Covert via email
\nacovert@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a><\/p>\n

If your parent\/guardian is interested in purchasing a senior ad, ads will
\nbe due 12\/20 (the Friday before winter break). They are available for
\npurchase on yearbookforever.com<\/p>\n

Students! Be part of history! The 100th anniversary yearbook is available
\nfor purchase now at yearbookforever.com. The price increases from $50 to
\n$55 on 12\/1 and from $55 to $60 on 4\/12.<\/p>\n

FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA UPDATES<\/p>\n

If any parents, friends, or family are interested in volunteering at SFHS
\nFBLA Regional Leadership Competition, please reach out to Ms. Kuehne (
\nkrkuehne@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a>). We are looking for adults to judge
\npresentation events and volunteers to support FBLA members during
\nconcessions and lunch service<\/p>\n

Important: Bus Circle Access<\/p>\n

Please be advised that the bus circle off of Amherst Avenue in front of the
\nhigh school is strictly for bus traffic before and after school. To ensure
\nthe safety and efficiency of student drop-off and pick-up, please use the
\nsidewalk side of Amherst Avenue.<\/p>\n

Your cooperation in following these guidelines will help us maintain a
\nsmooth and safe routine for all students.<\/p>\n
