HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS<\/p>\n

December 13, 2024<\/p>\n

Christmas Dress Up Days:<\/p>\n

12\/16 Monday – Night Before Christmas – Wear your favorite Christmas
\npajamas!<\/p>\n

\nAttention Juniors: Prom Committee will meet on Wednesday, December 18 in
\nMrs. Todd’s room during SOAR. Any junior is welcome to join!<\/p>\n

\nAttention students! We will have several visitors before winter break!
\nOn Monday,
\nDecember 16, our U.S. Coast Guard Recruiter will be at Sheboygan Falls
\nHigh School during lunches outside the cafeteria. Then on Tuesday, December
\n17, our LTC Post Secondary Rep will be in the Counseling Office during
\nSOAR. On Wednesday, December 18 our U.S. Army Recruiter will be outside
\nthe cafeteria during lunches. Finally, on Friday, December 20 our Youth
\nApprenticeship Rep will be back during SOAR in the Counseling Office
\nmeeting with any current YA students she did not see on December 13. She
\nwill also be meeting with any students interested in learning more about
\nthe Youth Apprenticeship program. Mrs. Groth will send out Google Forms for
\nthe LTC visit, the Lakeland University visit, and the YA visit for students
\ninterested in learning about the program. Please watch your email.<\/p>\n

\nPlease be advised that students may not purchase food items with another
\nstudent’s identification card. Each student ID is unique and linked to an
\nindividual account for tracking purchases.<\/p>\n

SFHS FBLA Volunteering Opportunity!<\/p>\n

Are you a great gift wrapper? Do you want to help to spread holiday cheer!
\nConsider helping Sheboygan Falls FBLA with their annual gift wrapping for
\ngood during the Sheboygan Local Yokel. This event will be on December 14th,
\nfrom 11:30am-5:00pm at Green Bicycle Co. (1117 N 8th St, Sheboygan, WI
\n53081). Please reach out to Ms. Kuehne (krkuehne@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a>)
\nto sign up.<\/p>\n

\nSenior photos are due 1\/3\/25 (the Friday after we come back from winter
\nbreak). Please submit them to Ms. Covert via email
\nacovert@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a><\/p>\n

If your parent\/guardian is interested in purchasing a senior ad, ads will
\nbe due 12\/20 (the Friday before winter break). They are available for
\npurchase on yearbookforever.com<\/p>\n

Students! Be part of history! The 100th anniversary yearbook is available
\nfor purchase now at yearbookforever.com. The price is $55. The price will
\nincrease to $60 on 4\/12\/25.<\/p>\n

FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA UPDATES<\/p>\n

If any parents, friends, or family are interested in volunteering at SFHS
\nFBLA Regional Leadership Competition, please reach out to Ms. Kuehne (
\nkrkuehne@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a>). We are looking for adults to judge
\npresentation events and volunteers to support FBLA members during
\nconcessions and lunch service<\/p>\n

For all students planning on playing baseball this spring, we have begun
\nsome fundraising. We will need to replace\/improve some of our equipment.
\nSo, we will be selling Papa Murphy’s coupon cards. They are a good value
\nand we have had quite a bit of success with these cards in the past. Each
\nplayer will be expected to sell 10 cards at $10 per card for a total of
\n$100. Half of this money comes back to our program. This will allow us to
\npurchase the tees and baseballs (and hopefully screens) that we will need.
\nThe order forms can be picked up in Coach Fladvid’s room (A143). The money
\nfor the coupon cards should be back to me by Thursday, December 19th at
\n3:15. Please see the email you were sent which provides more details.<\/p>\n

Dear Students and Parents\/Guardians,<\/p>\n

We want to address a concerning trend at Sheboygan Falls High School: an
\nincreasing number of student tardies. We’ve noticed a significant number of
\nstudents loitering in the halls, resulting in late arrivals to class. This
\nis a major disruption to the students who are in class ready to learn.
\nParents\/Guardians
\nwill get Infinite Campus notifications for each tardy during the day.<\/p>\n

Please be aware of the following consequences for repeated tardies:<\/p>\n

–<\/p>\n

Detentions: Students who are repeatedly tardy will be assigned
\ndetentions. (Student Handbook page 91)
\n–<\/p>\n

Detention Deadline: Students must serve all outstanding detentions from
\nthe 1st and 2nd quarters before the beginning of the winter break.
\n–<\/p>\n

Restriction from After-School Activities: Starting in the new year,
\nstudents with outstanding detentions as a result of tardies and other
\nbehavioral referrals will not be permitted to attend after-school
\nactivities as spectators.
\n–<\/p>\n

Starting Third Quarter: Students will have one week to serve detentions
\nbefore being unable to attend after-school events as spectators.<\/p>\n

We urge all students to prioritize punctuality and make a concerted effort
\nto arrive to class on time, ready to learn.<\/p>\n
