*American** Education Week plans for November 13-16 – *This week has been
\ncelebrated the week prior to Thanksgiving since 1921 “…for the purpose of
\ninforming the public of the accomplishments and needs of the public schools
\nand to secure the cooperation and support of the public in meeting those
\nneeds”.<\/p>\n
*WIN! Stop in the library* to enter the weekly trivia contest – a winner
\nis selected every Friday. We are also running a November Bookface
\ncontest. Replace your face, body or even your pet with a book’s cover and
\nsnap a picture! Prizes for students and staff! See Mrs. Federer for more
\ndetails.<\/p>\n
*November is Gratitude month*! Do you have an attitude of gratitude?
\nGratitude is about focusing on the good and being thankful for the things
\nwe have. Studies have shown that living a grateful life can increase
\nhappiness. It\u2019s good for our mind and body!<\/p>\n
\n*Attention seniors!* Class t-shirts will be sold November 14-17 during both
\nlunches. The cost is $12 for short sleeve and $15 for long sleeve (+$2 for
\n2XL). Money is needed when the shirts are purchased and no late orders
\nwill be accepted. This shirt will be worn for our class photo for the
\nyearbook. They are not mandatory, but encouraged!<\/p>\n
*Any students interested in the Military*, if you are interested in taking
\nthe ASVAB, please sign up in the counseling office by November 17th. If you
\nhave questions about what the ASVAB is or if you should take it, please see
\nyour counselor.<\/p>\n
Academic Awards will* NOT BE* available for pick up until after November
\n20th. Thank<\/p>\n

*The SFHS Music Booster* meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 16th has
\nbeen rescheduled for Monday, November 17th at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
*Pick up for the Music Booster* poinsettia, kringle and cookie dough sale
\nis this Friday, November 17th from 5-7 in the SFHS cafeteria.<\/p>\n
*Juniors *- There will be ACT Science Prep available after school on Monday,
\nNovember 20 from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m. or before school on Wednesday, November
\n22 from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. If you are interested and didn’t sign up on the
\nACT survey given 2 weeks ago, please sign up in the counseling office by
\nFriday at 3:15.<\/p>\n
*Attention all football players* there will be a meeting Thursday November
\n16th during enhancement in the cafeteria. There will be information about
\nthe banquet. Yes, that is tomorrow, see you there.<\/p>\n

*Girl Scouts of Manitou* has summer position in Plymouth and Two Rivers.
