*Sheboygan Falls Middle School Announcements*

* “B” Day*

They will be a girls basketball meeting for parents and students on Monday
May 18 @ 630 for anyone interested in playing freshman basketball this
summer and next year 2015-16 season. The meeting will be held in the high
school gym. Please make an effort to attend. We will have open gym
admittedly following the meeting. Please contact me if you have any

*Students, the health room is extremely low on ice packs. Please check your
lockers, desks, back packs, we could use them back. Please be sure to bring
them back if they made it home too. Thank you*

Mr. Goral has planned on May 18th at 11:40 to meet with 8th graders that
are signed up for HS summer PE. He will be reviewing class times, class
expectations and answering any questions the students may have. He will be
meeting with the students in the auditorium.

Please remind students about summer safety! There are a lot of bikes,
walkers, as well as traffic. Please be sure to stop & look both ways. Do
not assume the cars are going to stop! Please cross in the cross walks!

Newspaper is needed in the Art Room. Also, we could use donations of
artificial flowers or greens of any type. If you have any at home you’re
not using and wish to donate, please drop off in the Art Room. Thank you
for your continued support!

*Bring in those soda tabs!! *The time is finally here for the soda tab
competition. Bring your tabs to the cafeteria on *Mon.-Fri., May 11-15*,
and put them in the blue jug for your grade level. The grade with the most
donations will get a 30 minute recess. This year’s donations are going to
an organization for children with cancer run entirely by volunteers through
Children’s Oncology Services. Programs they provide include Brain Tumor
Family Camp, Dude Ranch, Whitewater Rafting, Utah Ski Adventure, and
Sibling Camp. There are also trips to state governments and Washington,
DC, where children learn about government and educate legislators. For

*ECO NATURE CLUB Water Bottle Collection Contest!* Our Eco Nature Club
students will be visiting the Falcon Time classrooms on Monday, May 18th to
pick up the collection of water bottles. Be sure to bring your water
bottles to school by Monday morning to contribute to your Weds. Falcon Time
groups collection and for a chance to win an ice cream party!

*LIBRARY CHECK OUT INFORMATION* – last check out date for the year is
this FRIDAY, MAY 15TH. Also, please return all Library items no later than
WEDNESDAY, MAY 27th. Thanks for your help with final return of the library
items.

On Friday, May 15, a Music Enrichment field trip is planned for the
Milwaukee Ballet. Mrs. Charbonneau is seeking 50 students in grades 5-8
who show high interest and strength in the area of dance and music. A list
of participating students should be available the second week of May. The
trip cost is $10.00. Chaperones are $15.00. Time of the trip is from
approx 9:15-2:45. Please see Mrs. Charbonneau for a trip permission slip.

*On Friday, May 29, selected art students are visiting John Michael Kohler
Arts Center in Sheboygan to see the current exhibition, and participate in
a hands-on silk-painting workshop. This is an Art Enrichment OPTIONAL trip
for 40 students who show talent and high interest in Art.* We will be gone
from about 11:55 until approximately 2:40 on May 29.

Meningitis is an infection of the coverings of the brain and spinal cord.
Like the daughter of Bob Werner, who spoke at the high school two years
ago, meningitis can be fatal. Many more people who get it will have very
serious complications. Ask your school nurse about the vaccine that
prevents the most serious types of meningitis. Here are some things you can
do to help prevent meningitis:

• Use good hygiene, such as regular hand washing

• Don’t share food, drinks, or utensils
