Do you like meeting new people? Do you like learning new things while
having fun? Would you like to exhibit your creations, or pets, at the
fair? If so, then 4H just might be right for you. Come and see what 4H is
all about at the Open House this Thursday, September 24. It will be held
from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Youth Building on the south end of the Fair
Grounds. Meet people from various clubs in the county. Talk to members
involved in a multitude of projects and decide if some of those projects
might be what you are looking for. Come and have some fun!

“There is still time to join forensics. Pick up an application in Mr.
Shircel’s room (219). Forensics is open for 6th-8th grade. Our next meeting
is Monday Sept. 21st after school.”

Mrs. Charbonneau and Mrs. Fiorini are offering an Arts Enrichment
Opportunity to Sheboygan Falls Middle School students. On Wednesday,
October 7th, 2015, we will travel by bus to the John Michael Kohler Art
Center in Sheboygan to attend *Alash!*

Masters of throat singing, a remarkable technique for singing multiple
pitches at the same time, the

three-member Alash Ensemble brings the beautiful and exotic sounds of inner
Asia to Sheboygan.

Participating students will report to the auditorium at 12:15 PM on
Wednesday, October 7th for a departure from school at 12:20 PM sharp! We
will travel by bus from the middle school to Sheboygan. We will return to
the middle school at approximately 1:45 pm, at which time the student will
report to their regularly scheduled classrooms.

We’d like to offer this opportunity to the* Grade 7 and 8 chorus music
students first. * The Music Department, through the recent fundraising
event, is *generously* covering the cost of the bus ticket! The cost of
the theater is $5.00 per student. Checks should be made payable to SFMS.
We are *limited in the number of student tickets reserved for this
performance*. If interested in attending, return your permission slip to
Mrs. Fiorini or Mrs. Charbonneau *no later than Friday, October 2nd *to
reserve your seat.

*PARENTS*…We are also in need of a few adult chaperons. Please indicate
your wish to assist and return your fee of $10.00 along with your students
permission slip. You will be contacted once we receive your indication to
assist.

*Future Falconettes Dance Mini-Camp for students in Grades 5-8: *

The Sheboygan Falls Varsity Dance Team will be holding a Dance Mini-Camp on
the afternoon of Friday, October 9. Kids will learn a routine and perform
at the football halftime that night. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at
the door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Dinner! Registration forms have
been sent home and additional forms are available in the office. Forms
must be returned to the school office by Wednesday, September 23 to receive
the discounted price. No payment is due until check-in on October 9.

The *Student Council *membership list is now posted on the Student Council
bulletin board across from the library. Seventh and eighth graders, we
sure would like to see more of you! Please see Mrs. Powers if you are
interested. *Our first meeting *is Monday, Sept. 21, from 3:15 to 4:00 in
the art room.

Mrs. Charbonneau would like to start offering clubs during recess – These
clubs would be available to any student who would like to explore these
instruments more or has experience already. If you are interested, please
stop by Mrs. Charbonneau for a pass. FYI – These clubs would run until
Oct.2.

many positive effects of physical activity. The Alliance for a Healthier
Generation is encouraging everyone in the nation to add 10 minutes of
physical activity to their day. Take a few seconds to think how you can
add 10 minutes and make your generation the healthiest one yet!
