*Study Skill Strategies Group*

Life in middle school can be busy. Changing classes, coping with different
teachers’ styles & rules, following a schedule that can be confusing and
getting homework done are all a part of your daily life. This group will
offer tips, techniques and strategies to help school be more manageable.
Topics may include: organization skills, listening & taking notes, tips on
reading & writing, study techniques and time management.

*Teen Success Group*

How do you define success? Is it getting good grades? Having lots of
friends? Making a particular athletic team? No matter what your vision of
success, there are certain personal qualities and skills that can help make
you successful. Topics may include: health & fitness, intrapersonal
skills, friendships, goal setting, decision making, conflict management and
self-determination.

Do you like meeting new people? Do you like learning new things while
having fun? Would you like to exhibit your creations, or pets, at the
fair? If so, then 4H just might be right for you. Come and see what 4H is
all about at the Open House this Thursday, September 24. It will be held
from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Youth Building on the south end of the Fair
Grounds. Meet people from various clubs in the county. Talk to members
involved in a multitude of projects and decide if some of those projects
might be what you are looking for. Come and have some fun!

Today, only 1 in 3 kids is physically active *each* day. We all know the
many positive effects of physical activity. The Alliance for a Healthier
Generation is encouraging everyone in the nation to add 10 minutes of
physical activity to their day. Take a few seconds to think how you can
add 10 minutes and make your generation the healthiest one yet!
