CONGRATULATIONS to the Grade Level Spelling Bee winners! The following
students will advance to the School Level Scripps Spelling Bee, to be held
on Monday, January 16th, for a chance to compete for the title of SFMS
School Spelling Bee Champion!

Yearbook Staff: Photographers are needed for Friday’s Talent Fest, which
starts at 6:30pm. See Mrs. Mansker if you’re able to help out.
Posters are on display in each grade level hallway for students in each
grade to check and proofread their picture/name for the yearbook. You need
to make sure your picture is on the poster and that your name with the
correct spelling is below your photo. If there is a mistake, contact the
office asap. Corrections are needed by Tuesday, January 31st.

*Tractor Safety Camp*
UW Extension Manitowoc and UW Extension Sheboygan are offering a Tractor
Safety Camp for 2 different weekends. March 10-12 and March 31-April 2, 2017.
If any of the students are interested please have them fill out a brochure
that can be picked up in the MS office or email me, Tracy Schupel at
[email protected], or they can vist the website at
manitowoc.uwex.edu/, thank you.
*Lost & Found: *There are so many NICE winter coats, gloves, and lunch
boxes in the lost and found. If you are missing something, please have your
child look in there. Also, please remember to label stuff so we can easily
just call the student down to return it to them. Thank you
All students that have 101 Dalmatians scripts please return by Monday,
January 16th.
*Student Council *will meet in January on Monday, January 16, and Monday,
January 30.
*Wrestling Parent Meeting: Tuesday, January 17th; 6pm HS Cafeteria *
The first day of practice is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23rd. All
paperwork and fees are due by that date. You can get the paperwork needed
off the school website (Middle School–Forms for Families) to get a head
start on those items. Also, if your child needs to have a physical, please
get that scheduled as soon as possible because they won’t be able to
practice until that is completed and other forms are turned in.
*MS Musical Parent Meeting: Monday, January 16th; 5pm MS Auditorium*
*No School on January 23rd: *Breaker Bay at Blue Harbor would like to
invite you to have a splashing good time on your day off! Just tell them
you are from Sheboygan Falls School District and all parents, kids, and
staff will have a special admission fee of $10!!! Waterpark is open
9am-1pm.
*Writers Workshop Competition:* Student interested in winning a certificate
for free martial arts lessons at Park’s Black Belt Academy (2month
lessons/$187 value) Please submit an essay to the MS office by Tuesday,
January 31st. Your essay should say why you think you should win the free
lessons.
Students: as of 2nd semester, the library will no longer supply students
with headphones. If you are in need of headphones, they can be purchased
inexpensively at a dollar store.
Announcement – The 101 Dalmatian sign-up is now posted on the middle school
office window. Auditions will be January 16th and 17th from 3:15-4:00.
Students auditions will be about 5-7 minutes in length. They can leave
when they are finished. *Students need to have their $40.00 fee paid and
all paperwork in to participate in the musical.*
Attention Families: The Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Department
is hosting a free Trauma-Informed Parenting Workshop this spring. The
workshop provides participants the knowledge and skills needed to
effectively care for and support children who have experienced trauma.

The final school championship and regional qualifying round will be held in
the ACTION Room on Monday, January 16th, at 1:45PM. Students can still pick
up a list of words to study from their ELA/Integrated teacher or from the
ACTION Room bulletin board. Students can also continue to prepare by
visiting Word Central!

Geographic Bee will be held in January, with the final grade level and
school level bees to follow in the ACTION Room in early February. Students
