2022 Middle School Musical Announcement
I’m sure you are all wondering what the middle school musical will be this
year. Just to keep you wondering a little longer, let’s play a little
guessing game. Each week there will be a clue in the announcements. You can
take your guess but the reveal won’t be until Friday, November 19th!
Here is Clue #1:
On Wednesday November 3rd, 5-7th graders will be attending “Shrek the
Musical” preview from 8-10:15. Please see the attached Falcon Tool for
expectations.
Falcon Tool: Attending A Performance
Falcon Tool Universal Expectation: Safe, Responsible, and Respectful
Name of Skill/Setting: Common Expectations for Attending a Performance
Purpose of the lesson/ why it is important: Our high school friends spent
lots of time and hard work preparing this performance for us! During the
performance (or musical), high school students are concentrating on
creating the best performance possible; middle school students are watching
with their eyes and listening with their ears (our bodies are quiet).
1.
You will load the buses at 8:00 with your teacher. Please remember to
walk slowly and fill every seat. It is required to have masks on when
on the bus, so please have a mask for the bus ride.
2.
When you arrive at the high school, you will follow your teacher to the
seats in the front of the auditorium. You will be seated with your
teacher. Please remember to stay seated until you are dismissed at the end
of the performance. Listen to your teachers’ directions.
3.
Please use a zero volume during the performance. This helps everyone
hear and enjoy the performance.
4.
Applause is appropriate at the end of each scene. It is not appropriate
to make other noises or talk to the performers. (Practice polite applause)
5.
When the performance is over, please wait your turn and leave the space
in a calm way. Listen to your teachers’ directions.
6.
The high school performers may stand together and wave to us when we
leave. We can show our appreciation by smiling and quietly waving back!
