*“B” Day*

FBLA will meet Thursday November 6, to finalize individual assignments and
start preparing for the competitions in the winter.​

The following 7th graders still need to hand in their uniforms to Miss
Zimmer (room 211): Alisa M., Jane R., Danielle V., Ashley S., and Amina A.

BOYS BASKETBALL & GIRLS DANCE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL SPORTS PHOTOS will be
taken on Tuesday, Nov. 11th beginning at 3:30PM in the gym. Please bring
your uniform, as well as your order form and payment. All team members and
coaches should attend, so that you will be included in the team photos,
regardless of your interest in purchasing.

*Attention Dance Team! Your first performance is this Thursday November
6th. Please remember to wear your black pants, tennis shoes, and be ready
to perform! Your shirts will be handed out to you before the performance.
Dance Pictures will take place on Tuesday November 11th. *

Thank you for all who enjoyed the pizza, and apology from Amy Lawrenz, the
food service director that we ran short. We will make sure to have enough
the next time in two weeks. A special “ thank you” to the select 8th
graders who showed good choices by understanding the situation and not
getting upset with the workers.

SFMS Student Council* Food Drive* is coming up. Please help local families
in need by donating items that will go to the Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry.
Students may bring donations to the conference room from 7:45-8:00 a.m. on
the following dates:

Monday, Nov. 10 – paper products

Tuesday, Nov. 11 – canned goods

Wed., Nov. 12 – boxed goods

Thurs., Nov. 13 – any nonperishable item

The grade level with the most donations will receive a free ice cream
certificate.

At every middle school basketball game hosted at the MS this year, Student
Council will be selling concessions. Pizza and water will be available
right after school, and candy and soda will be sold starting at 3:45.
Prices range from $1.00-$1.50.

*Save the Date: *The SFHS Dance Team will be holding their second youth
clinic on January 8th, 2015. Dancers in grades 1-8 will learn a new routine
with the varsity team and perform at the home basketball game! More info at
a later date.

*Edible Engineering!* It’s that time of year again… time to form teams
to design and build an edible structure, for possible inclusion in the *Great
Gingerbread Village Contest* at the Waelderhaus in Kohler. This opportunity
is open to students in grades 5 through 8, and requires teams of 3 to 5
students. Teams will meet during lunch/recess periods and some after-school
hours in the ACTION Room to create their edible structure. If this sounds
interesting to you, pick up

​an information form and permission slips from the ACTION Room bulletin
board ASAP. Stop in to see Mrs. Fiorini with questions anytime. Grade 6 and
7 teams begin building on Thursday, Nov. 6th and Grade 5 and 8 teams begin
on Friday, Nov. 14th. DON”T MISS OUT!!!​

Rec Department to Offer Art Classes for kids/families

The Rec Department is partnering with Store Front Gallery & Studio in
downtown Sheboygan Falls to offer an art workshop designed for families and
kids on November 15th. All the details and the registration form can be

Come to MS office to pick up forms for camp

*The first dance of the school year is coming up* on Friday, November 7
from 3:15-5:15. The theme for the dance is “masquerade.” Students will
need $1 admission and a signed permission slip to enter the dance.
Permission slips will be handed out in your Wed. falcon time this week.
Then tickets (or wristbands) will be sold at lunch next week Wed., Thurs.,
and Friday, and on Friday afternoon before the dance. DJ Kurty K will once
again be spinning records for us and there will be a photo booth and
concessions, including pizza, soda, candy, and ice cream..

*Wellness Tip*

Before you start munching on that Halloween candy or a snack, ask yourself
what’s in the food you’ve chosen. If it is loaded with sugar think again.
Certain kinds of sweets can do more damage than others. Gooey or chewy
sweets spend more time sticking to the surface of your teeth and give your
teeth a longer sugar bath. Brush Brush Brush!

Halloween candy for Operation Gratitude can be dropped off at the
elementary or middle school office through Friday.
