*Hey Everybody! Thursday, March 21st is World Down syndrome Day or crazy
socks day! *Do you have a pair of zig-zag, *polka dot*, miss-matched or
animal themed socks?! Please show your own uniqueness and support for our
learners and classmates by rocking your favorite socks on Thursday, March
21st! Thanks for your support!

th 4pm- 7pm

*Book Fair:*

The book fair will be March 12 – March 19. We will be open during school
hours, conferences, and play performances.

This week March 4-8 is National School Breakfast Week.

The theme is START YOUR ENGINES WITH SCHOOL BREAKFAST AND CROSS THE FINISH
LINE!

We have a few drawings and will have a racecar for each grade. So the car
moves by how many eat with us in each grade. Let us see who will cross the
finish line first! See you at the races!

Attention Sheboygan Falls Students, the Falcon Way has important
information that YOU do not want to miss. In the next couple weeks, you
will have several opportunities to use your Falcon Feathers. First, the
Falcon Store will be open during your lunch hour on Tuesday, March 12th.
There have been a lot of new items you can purchase with your Falcon
Feathers including: Snacks, headphones, sports gear, Starbucks gift cards
and much much more. Our next Falcon Way drawing will be on Friday, March
15th. The prize box will be put out starting today through the end of the
day on March 14th. The winner will be announced during morning
announcements on the 15th. The next prize will be two Splash Passes and
two mini golf passes for Blue Harbor Water Park. This means you and a
friend can go to Blue Harbor for a day FREE! Two winners will be drawn.
This is an opportunity you do NOT want to miss! Finally, The Falcon Way
will be sponsoring two activities during the Student and Staff basketball
game. The two activities are the VIP section at the Student and Staff
basketball game and half time musical chairs. First, the VIP section:
There will be 4 winners selected. Each winner will be able to choose a
friend to sit in the VIP section with them. Sitting in the VIP section
will give you front row seats to ALL the action as well as unlimited
popcorn and bottled water. Second, musical chairs: We are looking for one
person per grade level to participate in the student-staff basketball game
halftime. Students will go against staff members in a game of musical
chairs! To enter both or either activity, all you do is need to enter your
Falcon Feather(s) in the Falcon Prize Box which will be located on the
stage and will start the morning of Monday, March 18th. One side of the box
will be designated for the VIP section and the other side for musical
chairs. The winners will be announced the morning of March 22nd. Sheboygan
Falls Middle School Students, keep making EXPECTED choices through out the
school day by being Safe, Responsible and Respectful students. Staff,
please reward students for making EXPECTED choices! Thank you –

*SOLO & ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL:* MS Music students who are performing at the
WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival have received info packets as well as a
Transportation
Form
<docs.google.com/document/d/19M7EiAxs5ldHFpbPscSeECQZ6EqyHrUc3iDSQ7VU4oM/edit?usp=sharing>.
Completed Transportation Forms should be turned in to Mrs. Charbonneau or
Mrs. Winkler no later than Tuesday, March 5th.

Big news from the Art Room at SFMS: our Annual Student Art Exhibit is
undergoing some big changes this year! In the past, we always had artwork
up in the cafeteria during the weekend of our spring musical. Since we
don’t have the “tackable wall space” in our beautiful new commons, we will
not be having a formal BIG art exhibit the weekend of the play. We will
have a small display to celebrate Youth Art Month, which is March! Plans
are underway to have a bigger Art Exhibit in the late spring with the
elementary. Mrs. Fischer and Mr. Hoes are working out the details. Stay
tuned!

It’s time to Unpack our Adjectives.
This song was written by
George Newall and performed by Blossom Dearie. A girl and her turtle
unpack her adjectives unpack her adjectives from an enormous adventure they
had.

TRACK and FIELD SIGN UP – Attention *7th and 8th* Graders! Please see Mrs.
Miller in the office to get the paperwork and sign up for the track team.

If you have not completed these for another sport, you will need to: (1)
fill out a concussion form, (2) an athletic code, and (3) have a physical. *The
fee (4) must also be paid.*

All items must be taken care of before you participate. The first practice
is April 1st

Sheboygan Falls Middle School is participating in the annual Sheboygan
County Help For Homeless Hygiene Drive. We are in need of donations that
include; cleaning supplies/products, shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash,
deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. Donations can be dropped off in
the main office until March 10th. Thank you!

The performances for School House Rock Live – will be March 14th at 9:00
for the Elementary – Friday Night Cast; March 15th at 9:00 for the Middle
School – Saturday Night Cast. Students involved in the musical will be
released after peaceful start. I anticipate the show taking 1 hour. We
would like the youngest grade level to sit toward the front on chairs and
then proceed back from there. We may be sitting on the bleachers as well.
Thanks! Mrs. Charbonneau

* ACT FAST – ORDER A YEARBOOK!* It’s not too late to order a copy of the
2018-2019 SFMS yearbook, but you need to act fast! We only have a limited
number of copies left, and they’ll be sold on a first-come first-serve
basis until they’re gone! Both online and paper order forms are still being
accepted. Paper forms can be turned in to the office, or to Ms. Dekanich in
room 245. Order your yearbook today! Reminder: please make any check orders
for yearbooks payable to the Sheboygan Falls School District.

ATTENTION YEARBOOK STAFF

As the deadline for creating the SFMS yearbook is approaching, and as we
had a number of meetings cancelled due to weather, I have scheduled a
number of additional meetings.

Yearbook meetings will be held in Ms. Dekanich’s classroom on the following
dates from 3:05-4:00:

March 11

March 18

I understand that these newly scheduled meetings may conflict with other
events – if you are available to attend, your presence and participation
would be greatly appreciated!

Tickets are now on sale for School House Rock Live Jr. at the Middle School
Office. The shows are Thursday – 7:00 pm (Saturday Night Cast); Friday
Night – 7:00 pm (Friday Night Cast); Saturday – 1:00 pm (Friday Night

Health tip:

It is estimated that 51 million school hours are lost each year due to oral
health issues. Oral Health concerns are the most common chronic disease in
school aged children. Discomfort and self consciousness caused by oral
health disease interferes with the students ability to learn. Everyone
should see their dentist 1-2 times per year. Please contact your nurses if
you need help obtaining dental care. Did you know that your students can
have their teeth checked while here at school through Lakeshore Dental.
They are scheduled to visit our school district the week of 2/25/19. Call
your nurses for details!
