Attention all students playing football ,flying disc ,kickball at
recess…please remember when the whistle is blown, stop playing and return
the items to the rack. Today a student was hit in the face with a ball. We
need to remember safety first. When I blow the whistle students are walking
to line up not looking for a ball to catch. Please remember to give
everyone personal space at lineup, no pushing and shoving. It’s my job to
keep everyone safe this is why we have these rules.Thank you.

Also, Great job to all 5th,6th,7th,and 8th graders for doing such a great
job yesterday for indoor recess. Thank you! Mrs. De Fere

*Wellness Tip from the Nurse:*
October is “National Protect Your Hearing Month.” Noise-induced hearing
loss is cumulative, invisible, and permanent. It’s cumulative because the
damage can start when we are young and get worse over time. It’s invisible
because it can happen without our even noticing it, until it’s too late.
And it’s permanent because, unlike a broken arm that gets better over time,
we can’t “heal” our hearing. Once it’s damaged, it’s damaged for good. The
good news is that noise-induced hearing loss is 100% preventable. If your
earbuds prevent you from hearing what’s going on around you, the volume is
too loud! Turn down the sound!
