From your school nurse:

We know that illness can strike any of us at any time.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends that everyone age 6
months old and older get vaccinated against the flu. The vaccine is safe
and effective and can prevent long absences from school and work.

In addition, there are steps the whole family can take to prevent and stop
the spread of illness. These include:

· Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an
alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

· Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve, and try
to avoid touching your face with your hand.

· If you use a tissue, throw it away after one use.

· Never share drinking cups, straws, and utensils.

· When possible, avoid being exposed to people who are sick
with flu-like symptoms.

· Eat nutritious meals, get plenty of rest, and do not smoke.

· Frequently clean commonly touched surfaces, like doorknobs,
the refrigerator handles, your phone, and faucets.

If your child shows signs of illness, such as a high fever, cough,
sneezing, or runny nose, please keep them home until 24 hours after the
symptoms pass to prevent them from spreading illness to classmates and
staff. You can find our policy on absences in the district handbook.

Working together, we can make this a healthy school year for everyone.

Working together, we can make this a healthy school year for everyone.

the spread of illness. These include:

· Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an
alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

· Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve, and try to
avoid touching your face with your hand.

· If you use a tissue, throw it away after one use.

· Never share drinking cups, straws, and utensils.

· When possible, avoid being exposed to people who are sick with
flu-like symptoms.

· Eat nutritious meals, get plenty of rest, and do not smoke.

· Frequently clean commonly touched surfaces, like doorknobs, the
refrigerator handles, your phone, and faucets.

There will be an opportunity for Sheboygan Falls Middle School students to
give back to our community by making blankets to honor Carter, Ben and
Natalie’s memory. The blankets made, will be donated and given to children
who are at Children’s Hospital and family members staying at the Ronald
McDonald House. To be involved, Mrs. Woodworth and Mrs. Miles will open up
the FCE Room one day a week until the first week in December. At that time,
we will collect the blankets and deliver them.

Directions for making the blanket:

You (or your group of students) will be individually responsible for the
purchase of the fleece material needed to make the blankets. The blankets
are seamless (without sewing) as you will be cutting and tying the ends of
the blanket. The material should be the size of a twin size blanket, so
purchase 2 pieces that are 40×80. One piece can be solid, the other print
of your choice. In addition, we are asking that you bring your own
scissors.

We will have a space for you to store your materials in the FCE Room. We
will be starting November 7 and plan to have November 14, 18, 20, 26 for
the morning workdays in the FCE Room. If you have any other questions,
please refer them to Mrs. Woodworth or Mrs. Miles.

Attention all middle school students. The Student Support Team is hosting
our 7th Annual Family Movie Night, Friday, November 22nd from 3:30-5:00.
The featured movie is The Lion King. This month The Falcon Leaders are
focusing on Honor as a value of importance in our school community. Come
learn more about honor and how Simba honors his father’s legacy. Simba has
a long journey ahead, but in the end learns that he must do what is right
and do what is best for his kingdom.

Snacks will be sold for a small fee by the student council. The movie will
be shown in the middle school commons area. There is NO fee to attend. You
will need a permission slip to participate. Permission slips can be found
in your neighborhood or in the office. Please turn in permission slips to
your Focus teacher or in the office no later than the day of the movie.

The movie will be given away to one lucky student at the end of the night.
All you need to do to participate is turn in your permission slip and show
up for Family Movie Night! Your family members are also invited to attend
with you (this includes moms, dads, siblings, grandparents, etc….). Hope
to see you all there!

Jazz Ensemble will be meeting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:00am in

From your school nurse:

We know that illness can strike any of us at any time.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends that everyone age 6
months old and older get vaccinated against the flu. The vaccine is safe
and effective and can prevent long absences from school and work.

In addition, there are steps the whole family can take to prevent and stop
the spread of illness. These include:

· Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an
alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

· Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve, and try to
avoid touching your face with your hand.
