Lakeland Muskies basketball camp: The men’s basketball team is hosting a
summer basketball camp for boys entering grades 4-8. If you are interested
in improving your skills stop in the MS office and grab a camp brochure.

*2019 -2020 Cross Country Sign-Up*

Attention runners who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next year – it’s
time to start thinking about the upcoming cross country season. If you
love running, being outdoors, and improving your fitness while having fun
– then cross country is for you! Practices will begin the first week of
school (all paperwork would need to be turned in by first practice). *All
those interested should sign up in the office. *Any questions see Mrs.
Hughes.

Any 8th grade student who brought in a hard-copy baby picture for the
yearbook, please stop by Ms. Dekanich’s classroom to pick your up as soon
as possible.

Art Museum* field trip on *Thursday, May 23*. This is an OPTIONAL TRIP so
if you choose not to go, or you are behind/failing in academic classes, you
should stay behind to catch up. Depart school around 9:20 a.m. and return
approx. 2:20. We will take a guided tour, have lunch, and have some time
to explore with your chaperone. Parent chaperones are needed! Contact
Mrs. Fischer if interested. Cost is $5 per student, chaperones are free.

entering 7th grade through 9th grade is *June 24**th** through June 27**th*.
For boys entering 4th grade through 6th grade camp is *July 8th and July
9th.* Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, scoring, and
playing defense from the Sheboygan Falls’ basketball coaching staff and
players. Camp forms are located in the grade level pods, the elementary
office, you can pick one up from Mr. Frohling at the middle school, or you
can print a form from the rec department website.

unveiling at Wildwood Park on Friday, May 17th. (Fall semester STEM

get to show off what you have created, as well as see the high school grill

summer basketball camp for boys entering grades 4-8. If you are interested
in improving your skills stop in the MS office and grab a camp brochure.

Attention runners who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next year – it’s
time to start thinking about the upcoming cross country season. If you
love running, being outdoors, and improving your fitness while having fun
– then cross country is for you! Practices will begin the first week of
school (all paperwork would need to be turned in by first practice). *All
those interested should sign up in the office. *Any questions see Mrs.
Hughes.

*MATH-A-THON UPDATE! Congratulations SFMS!! *You have collectively raised
a total of $677.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and their
efforts to finding a cure for childhood cancer. That brings our all time
donations to $37, 677!! Congratulations to our math classes with the most
contributing participants! They are Mrs. Power’s 5.3 class and Mrs.
Scharrer’s 5.5 class, who tied for this win! BOTH will be provided with
popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. EXTRA!
Congratulations to the student who raised the largest donation overall,
Marley Jones in Ms. Budde’s Period 3 math class! Her class will also receive
the prize of popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. In
addition, students who raised funds will receive an email to order any
prizes awarded by St. Jude’s. *SFMS… you make us proud!*

* It’s time for the second dance of the year! * Student Council will
sponsor the dance on Friday, May 10. The theme is “Polka Dots and Stripes”
and we encourage you to dress accordingly. Permission slips will be handed
out in your Check-In class later this week. Then next week Wed.-Fri. (May
8-10) during lunch, you can purchase your wristband for the dance with the
signed permission slip and $1. Kurty K will be the DJ again and there will
be treats and photo booth pics available for purchase. Dance is 3:15pm-
5:15pm

*MATH-A-THON UPDATE! Congratulations SFMS!! *You have collectively raised
a total of $677.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and their
efforts to finding a cure for childhood cancer. That brings our all time
donations to $37, 677!! Congratulations to our math classes with the most
contributing participants! They are Mrs. Power’s 5.3 class and Mrs.
Scharrer’s 5.5 class, who tied for this win! BOTH will be provided with
popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. EXTRA!
Congratulations to the student who raised the largest donation overall,
Marley Jones in Ms. Budde’s Period 3 math class! Her class will also receive
the prize of popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. In
addition, students who raised funds will receive an email to order any
prizes awarded by St. Jude’s. *SFMS… you make us proud!*

* It’s time for the second dance of the year! * Student Council will
sponsor the dance on Friday, May 10. The theme is “Polka Dots and Stripes”
and we encourage you to dress accordingly. Permission slips will be handed
out in your Check-In class later this week. Then next week Wed.-Fri. (May
8-10) during lunch, you can purchase your wristband for the dance with the
signed permission slip and $1. Kurty K will be the DJ again and there will
be treats and photo booth pics available for purchase. Dance is 3:15pm-

time to start thinking about the upcoming cross country season. If you

*MATH-A-THON UPDATE! Congratulations SFMS!! *You have collectively raised
a total of $677.00 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and their
efforts to finding a cure for childhood cancer. That brings our all time
donations to $37, 677!! Congratulations to our math classes with the most
contributing participants! They are Mrs. Power’s 5.3 class and Mrs.
Scharrer’s 5.5 class, who tied for this win! BOTH will be provided with
popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. EXTRA!
Congratulations to the student who raised the largest donation overall,
Marley Jones in Ms. Budde’s Period 3 math class! Her class will also receive
the prize of popcorn and beverages on the day of the teachers choice. In
addition, students who raised funds will receive an email to order any
prizes awarded by St. Jude’s. *SFMS… you make us proud!*

* It’s time for the second dance of the year! * Student Council will
sponsor the dance on Friday, May 10. The theme is “Polka Dots and Stripes”
and we encourage you to dress accordingly. Permission slips will be handed
out in your Check-In class later this week. Then next week Wed.-Fri. (May
8-10) during lunch, you can purchase your wristband for the dance with the
signed permission slip and $1. Kurty K will be the DJ again and there will
be treats and photo booth pics available for purchase.

As we prepare for our concert on May 6th, the May 6th rehearsal would be
all 6-8 chorus students (after check-in) 8:10-9:30 approx. If the student’s
finish early, I will be sending them back when they finish. The rehearsal
will be in the gym as they prepare for their concert that night. Mr.
Wojcheihowski will be coming that morning and providing a clinician for the
students that morning.

The spring choral concert is planned for May 6th at 7:30 pm in the Middle
School Auditorium. Students should plan to arrive at 7:00 pm, and 6th grade
to the band room, and 7th and 8th-grade choruses report to room 175.

Appropriate dress for this concert will be the following:

Boys: black dress pants, white dress shirt (short or long sleeves), black
socks, and black shoes.

Girls: black dress pants or black skirt (knee length or longer), white
shirt (sleeves should cover the shoulder), black nylons or tights, black
shoes. Please, no belts over shirts for women.

*Presto Show Choir Ladies* – we are going to wear our black button-up top
and black pants with a different cummerbund and bow tie. So please return
the purple bow tie and cummerbund if you still have it. Presto Show Choir
Ladies should report at 7:00 to the choir room. Thanks!

*2019 -2020 Cross Country Sign-Up*

Attention runners who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade next year – it’s
time to start thinking about the upcoming cross country season. If you
love running, being outdoors, and improving your fitness while having fun
– then cross country is for you! Practices will begin the first week of
school (all paperwork would need to be turned in by first practice). *All
those interested should sign up in the office. *Any questions see Mrs.
Hughes.

*Library Final Check Out Information* *– Beginning on Monday, MAY 6th, the
maximum amount of library items (Books, Nooks, Etc.), that can be checked
out is two. Last check out date for the year is FRIDAY, MAY 17th. All
library items should be returned No later than WEDNESDAY, MAY 31st. If you
cannot locate the items, please stop in the library to pick up a slip with
the money amount of the item(s) that are missing. Just a reminder to the
Grade 8 students – all items should be returned by the 31st of May, or it

*Attention Musicians – *A great summer music opportunity is right in our
backyard! The Lakeland University Music Camp is July 21-27 and offers a
variety of music opportunities. Large ensembles include band, choir,
orchestra, and piano and some electives include jazz band, show choir,
comedy improvisation, yoga, bucket drumming, and many more! Scholarships
are available from the SFMS Music Department. Please see Mrs. Charbonneau
or Mrs. Winkler for scholarship forms ASAP. For any questions regarding the

Art Museum* field trip on *Thursday, May 23*. This is an OPTIONAL TRIP so
if you choose not to go, or you are behind/failing in academic classes, you
should stay behind to catch up. Depart school around 9:20 a.m. and return
approx. 2:20. We will take a guided tour, have lunch, and have some time
to explore with your chaperone. Parent chaperones are needed! Contact
Mrs. Fischer if interested. Cost is $5 per student, chaperones are free.
Money is due to Mrs. Fischer by Monday, May 6.

*Basketball News!!* Sheboygan Falls’ Boys basketball camp for boys
entering 7th grade through 9th grade is *June 24**th** through June 27**th*.
For boys entering 4th grade through 6th grade camp is *July 8th and July
9th.* Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, scoring, and
playing defense from the Sheboygan Falls’ basketball coaching staff and
players. Camp forms are located in the grade level pods, the elementary
office, you can pick one up from Mr. Frohling at the middle school, or you
can print a form from the rec department website.

Calling all 8th grade STEM students! You are invited to the Project Grill
unveiling at Wildwood Park on Friday, May 17th. (Fall semester STEM
students who wish to display should get their grills to Ms. Probst no later

end of the event or pick them up the following Monday at school,. For more
details, including RSVP, please see Ms. Probst. An email and Infinite
Campus message will go out to families, as well. We hope you can be a part
of this event! All participants will get a free dinner, as well as a ticket
to a future Sheboygan A’s game. A group photo will be taken and you will

*Basketball News!!* Sheboygan Falls’ Boys basketball camp for boys
entering 7th grade through 9th grade is *June 24**th** through June 27**th*.
For boys entering 4th grade through 6th grade camp is *July 8th and July
9th.* Learn the fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, scoring, and
playing defense from the Sheboygan Falls’ basketball coaching staff and
players. Camp forms are located in the grade level pods, the elementary
office, you can pick one up from Mr. Frohling at the middle school, or you
can print a form from the rec department website.

Calling all 8th grade STEM students! You are invited to the Project Grill
unveiling at Wildwood Park on Friday, May 17th. (Fall semester STEM
students who wish to display should get their grills to Ms. Probst no later
than May 15th, so that she can transport them.) You may take them at the
end of the event or pick them up the following Monday at school,. For more
details, including RSVP, please see Ms. Probst. An email and Infinite
Campus message will go out to families, as well. We hope you can be a part
of this event! All participants will get a free dinner, as well as a ticket
to a future Sheboygan A’s game. A group photo will be taken and you will
get to show off what you have created, as well as see the high school grill

* It’s time for the second dance of the year! * Student Council will
sponsor the dance on Friday, May 10. The theme is “Polka Dots and Stripes”
and we encourage you to dress accordingly. Permission slips will be handed
out in your Check-In class later this week. Then next week Wed.-Fri. (May
8-10) during lunch, you can purchase your wristband for the dance with the
signed permission slip and $1. Kurty K will be the DJ again and there will
be treats and photo booth pics available for purchase.

Any 8th grade boys or girls interested in trying out for the Dance Team for
19-20 school year, our informational meeting for parents & dancers is
4/30/19 at 3:30- 4:30pm in the high school cafeteria. Bring your parents
too!!

*Attention Musicians – *A great summer music opportunity is right in our
backyard! The Lakeland University Music Camp is July 21-27 and offers a
variety of music opportunities. Large ensembles include band, choir,
orchestra, and piano and some electives include jazz band, show choir,
comedy improvisation, yoga, bucket drumming, and many more! Scholarships
are available from the SFMS Music Department. Please see Mrs. Charbonneau
or Mrs. Winkler for scholarship forms ASAP. For any questions regarding the
camp, contact Mrs. Stowers at [email protected] or

Any 8th grade student who brought in a hard-copy baby picture for the
yearbook, please stop by Ms. Dekanich’s classroom to pick your up as soon
as possible.

If you purchase a breakfast at one location you can purchase another but
will be charged Ala Carte. You are allowed one reimbursable breakfast a
day, doesn’t matter the place you purchased. Questions ask the cashier.

*8th grade Art Students*, including those who had 2-D Art 1st
semester: *Milwaukee
Art Museum* field trip on *Thursday, May 23*. This is an OPTIONAL TRIP so
if you choose not to go, or you are behind/failing in academic classes, you
should stay behind to catch up. Depart school around 9:20 a.m. and return
approx. 2:20. We will take a guided tour, have lunch, and have some time
to explore with your chaperone. Parent chaperones are needed! Contact
Mrs. Fischer if interested. Cost is $5 per student, chaperones are free.

*MATH-A-THON pledge sheets and donated funds are now due to the middle
school office, *in an envelope with the student’s first and last name, as
well as grade level. Please address the envelope to the attention of Mrs.
Fiorini. Once all pledged funds are received, the winner of the POPCORN
party will be announced. The math class with the most contributing (meaning
submitting some donation, whether $1.00 or $100.00) students will be

selected the winner! Thanks to all who support the work of St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer.
