January 22nd-26th Is Adult Crossing Guard Recognition Week. Students please
remember to thank your crossing guard!!!

*Health Tip:*

As the winter weather continues, and we go from rain to freezing rain to
snow* please* remember safety. This is important as you navigate icy roads
and sidewalks. If you feel yourself losing your balance, tuck into a ball
and keep your head and face away from the fall. Do not put your hand out to
catch yourself or you may risk breaking your arms or wrists. Instead take
small steps and try to keep your center of gravity over your front leg.
This is a term called “walk like a penguin” The “waddle” keeps your center
of gravity over your front leg.

*Tips for walking safely in winter weather*:

· Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination

· Wear shoes or boots with good traction

· Walk at a slower pace

· Stay on designated walkways

· Use handrails when using stairs and entering/exiting buildings.

pieces they are expanding. Some of the students who participated in
National Novel Writing Month would like to share their work with you.

Below are two links; one is to a document containing excerpts from several

Hello from the Lakeshore Community Healthcare, School Dental Program! This
dental program was utilized this past Fall in the Sheboygan Falls School
District.

Lakeshore Community Healthcare (LCHC) and the Sheboygan Falls School
District have partnered together to provide a dental clinic in the
elementary, middle, and high schools. This school program offers x-rays,
cleanings, exams, fillings, sealants and other dental services as needed,
for all students in the district who are NOT already established with
another dentist.

LCHC accepts private insurance and Medicaid/Badgercare. Help is available
for those students not covered by a dental insurance plan.

If you would like your child to take advantage of this opportunity, please
complete and return our bright green registration forms available in the
school offices or from the school nurses.

We plan to return for our clinic with the Sheboygan Falls schools starting
the week of March 19th. Please return completed forms to your child’s
teacher or to the school’s main office by March 1, 2017. If you have any
questions please call Clare Spaulding, LCHC School Dental Program
Coordinator, at 920-783-6633 <(920)%20783-6633>.

The sun has come out at SFMS! Play auditions for Annie are January 15th
and 16th from 3:15-4:00 in the Middle School Auditorium. There will be a
sign-up sheet on the office window. All students must complete a
participation form, conclusion waiver, and hand in or pay online the $40
dollar fee prior to the first rehearsal Jan. 18th. No physical is
required. All of these forms need to be handed into the office. January 16th
@ 5pm there will be a parent meeting in the MS Auditorium. Thanks!

Please come out to support SFMS night at Culver’s. Just bring in this flyer
