Attention students in grades 6-8…I’ve got three different group options
coming up for you!

The first gives you the opportunity to meet once a week with a group of
peers to talk about ways to make positive changes in your life as well as
in the lives of others. Are you interested in feeling better about
yourself and helping others?

The second gives you the opportunity to meet once a week with a group of
peers to talk about what’s going on in your life. Are you interested in
building stronger relationships while learning to cope better with life?

And the third gives you the opportunity to meet once a week with a group of
peers to talk about ways to direct your attention and efforts toward making
positive change. Have you wanted to make a change but struggled with doing
it on your own?

If any of these sound appealing to you, stop in by Mr. U to learn more!

*Health Tip*

Sleep:

Lack of sleep can hurt you health and school performance. Pre-teens need
10-12 hours of sleep per night and teens need 8-9 hours of sleep. Getting
enough sleep improves mood, energy, and decreases stress. Get in the habit
of turning off your computers and TV 15-30 minutes before bed to promote
the best sleep. Happy zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s from the nurses.

yourself and helping others?

The second gives you the opportunity to meet once a week with a group of
peers to talk about what’s going on in your life. Are you interested in
building stronger relationships while learning to cope better with life?

And the third gives you the opportunity to meet once a week with a group of
peers to talk about ways to direct your attention and efforts toward making
positive change. Have you wanted to make a change but struggled with doing
it on your own?

*Health Tip*

Healthy Teeth- Before you start munching on a snack, ask yourself what’s in
the food you’ve chosen. Is it loaded with sugar? If it is, think again.
Another choice would be better for your teeth. Keep in mind that certain
kinds of sweets can do more damage than others. Gooey or chewy sweets spend
more time sticking to the surface of your teeth. Because sticky snacks stay
in your mouth longer than foods that you quickly chew and swallow, they
give your teeth a longer sugar bath.
