*Health Tip*

Dental Health-

Did you know that it takes 24 hours for bacteria in your mouth to form
the sticky film called plaque. If plaque is not removed with proper
brushing or flossing it coats the base of your teeth and becomes Tarter.
Once you have tarter it can only be removed by your dentist or hygienist.
If it is allowed to stay on your teeth your jaw bone starts dissolving and
you teeth can fall out. Keep your teeth clean and healthy by brushing and
flossing!

Junk Food

You probably know that soda, chips, and candy are not that good for you,
but it may be worse than you thought. Recent research has found that kids
and teens that regularly eat junk food have lower IQ scores than those who
don’t. So next time you reach for a bag of chips or a soda grab and apple
or banana, and a glass of water or milk instead. Your body will thank you
in the future.

Benefits of Recess:

-Increase their level of physical activity

-Improve their memory, attention, and concentration

-Helping them stay on task in the classroom

-Reduces disruptive behavior in the classroom

-Improves social and emotional development

Junk Food

You probably know that soda, chips, and candy are not that good for you,
but it may be worse than you thought. Recent research has found that kids
and teens that regularly eat junk food have lower IQ scores than those who
don’t. So next time you reach for a bag of chips or a soda grab and apple
or banana, and a glass of water or milk instead. Your body will thank you
in the future.

Benefits of Recess:

-Increase their level of physical activity

-Improve their memory, attention, and concentration

-Helping them stay on task in the classroom

-Reduces disruptive behavior in the classroom

-Improves social and emotional development
