SF Youth Wrestling Rec Department: Look on the school website under Rec
\ndepartment for all information. Parent meeting Dec. 2nd at 7pm in SFHS
\nwrestling room. Practices are 6:45pm-8pm Mondays & Thursdays 12\/2-3\/19<\/p>\n
Cost is $20. Print off forms on Rec Dept. website.<\/p>\n

There are paper scrips available for students to borrow to look over for
\nthe spring musical – Mary Poppins. Auditions will be in January. Thanks!<\/p>\n
The Middle School Choirs will be caroling for Main Street Memories on
\nDecember 7th from 11:30-12:00. We will meet in front of the Municipal
\nBuilding and return there at 12:00. No transportation will be provided.

There will be a Student Falcon Leaders Meeting today (Monday) in the Media
\ncenter from 2:30-3pm. Please be responsible and remember to come or let
\nMrs. Lorge or another Falcon Leader know if you are unable to attend. Thank

Sheboygan Falls Middle School students will have the opportunity to
\nparticipate in the annual *Student\/Staff Talent Fest on Thursday, January
\n9th, 2020, at 6:30 PM in the middle school commons.* *Additionally, we are
\ngoing to have a school performance this year which will start at 1:30 PM
\nfeaturing members of the staff as well.* Students interested in
\nparticipating in the Talent Fest should begin to think about what type of
\nperformance they wish to display. Students may perform in only one act
\n(unless it is a larger school organized ensemble), which can be either a
\nsolo or group performance. Types of performances presented in the past
\ninclude singing, dancing, musical presentations, short skits, juggling, or
\nany act that displays a student\u2019s talent. Now is the time to determine if
\nyou wish to participate, in what way, and with whom. Performances will be
\nlimited to 2 minutes. Students who elect to sing must be prepared to do so
\nwithout singing over the voice on You tube. Singers should include the
\nname of the song they will perform on the permission slip and Mrs.
\nCharbonneau will provide music for you to practice with. Parents, please
\nassist your child in assuring that the performance, music and lyrics, and
\ncostumes are appropriate for our middle school audience.<\/p>\n
\nStudents wishing to participate must be willing to thoroughly prepare and
\npractice at home. Participants *must attend either* of the scheduled
\nrehearsal dates, as indicated below. Acts must be well prepared, polished,
\nand ready to perform at the two rehearsals. The rehearsal dates are;<\/p>\n
\u2022 *Thursday, January 2th from 3:05 – 4:00 PM *<\/p>\n
*\u2022 Tuesday, January 7th from 3:05 – 4:00 PM*<\/p>\n
\nThe program begins at 6:30 PM\/1:30 PM in the commons and will end at
\napproximately 8:00 PM\/3:05 PM. Students should arrive at the commons at
\nleast 20 minutes prior to show time. The students must bring\/wear their
\ncostumes and any props needed unless they have elected to leave these items
\nwith the director after their final rehearsal date. Students must be
\nseated in the designated performer seats, in show order, as predetermined
\nby the director.<\/p>\n
\n*Students wishing to participate must complete the attached permission slip
\nand performance sign-up sheet and return it to Mrs. Charbonneau by
\nThursday, January 2nd, 2020. Should you require further information
\nregarding the Talent Fest, please do not hesitate to contact us.*<\/p>\n
The Fishing Club will be having its first meeting of the year Monday,
\nDecember 2nd, at 6:30p.m in the high school cafeteria. There\u2019s a number of
\nitems we will be covering, such as ordering our blanks to build your own
\nfishing rod, ice fishing trip or trips, spring steel head fishing, summer
\nfishing trip to
\nCanada, and much more. Students please pass the word to other, as I would
\nlike to have a big turnout for our meeting. Parents are always welcomed
\nand encouraged to attend all the fishing club meeting and events.<\/p>\n

We know that illness can strike any of us at any time.<\/p>\n
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends that everyone age 6
\nmonths old and older get vaccinated against the flu. The vaccine is safe
\nand effective and can prevent long absences from school and work.<\/p>\n
In addition, there are steps the whole family can take to prevent and stop
\nthe spread of illness. These include:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an
\nalcohol-based hand sanitizer.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Cover your cough or sneeze with your upper sleeve, and try
\nto avoid touching your face with your hand.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 If you use a tissue, throw it away after one use.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Never share drinking cups, straws, and utensils.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 When possible, avoid being exposed to people who are sick
\nwith flu-like symptoms.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Eat nutritious meals, get plenty of rest, and do not smoke.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Frequently clean commonly touched surfaces, like doorknobs,
\nthe refrigerator handles, your phone, and faucets.<\/p>\n
If your child shows signs of illness, such as a high fever, cough,
\nsneezing, or runny nose, please keep them home until 24 hours after the
\nsymptoms pass to prevent them from spreading illness to classmates and
\nstaff. You can find our policy on absences in the district handbook.<\/p>\n
