YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST- It is that time of year where we are looking for a
\ncover for this year’s yearbook. All students, grades 5th through 8th, have
\nan opportunity to submit their artwork to be used as the cover of the
\n2021-2022 Yearbook.<\/p>\n
Guidelines:<\/p>\n
1. Must be on a 8×11 in sheet of paper (normal white computer paper)<\/p>\n
2. Must incorporate the Sheboygan Falls Falcons somehow<\/p>\n
3. Must be handed in to Miss Beaudry in room 121 or the office by November
\n30th at 3:00 PM. NO late submissions will be accepted or entered into the
\ncontest.<\/p>\n

This Year’s Musical is:<\/p>\n

High School Musical! The wildcat is the mascot of the school, Ms. Darbus
\nthe drama teacher loves to be dramatic and play the gong to get the
\nstudents’ attention, and of course there is the basketball team. Auditions
\nwill be before Winter Break with rehearsals starting after Winter Break.

The Middle School choir concert will be Monday December 6th at the high
\nschool at 7pm.<\/p>\n
The morning of the concert we will have a dress rehearsal at the high
\nschool. All choir students should get dropped off or take the bus to the
\nhigh school. They do not need to wear concert attire for the dress
\nrehearsal. Here’s the schedule:<\/p>\n
Monday, December 6th<\/p>\n
7:30-7:50 – students arrive at HS<\/p>\n
7:50-8:20 – 6th graders rehearse<\/p>\n
8:30 – 6th graders return to MS<\/p>\n
8:20-8:50 – 7th & 8th graders rehearse<\/p>\n
9:00 – 8th graders return to MS<\/p>\n
6th grade will be having a combined A & B Day rehearsal on Friday, December
\n3rd during 8th hour.<\/p>\n
7th & 8th grade will be having a combined rehearsal on Thursday, December
\n2nd during Check In and part of 1st Hour. Students should go to check in
\nfirst for attendance and then come down to the choir room. We will rehearse
\nuntil 8:20ish \/ 8:30 at the latest.<\/p>\n

A Note From Library: A reminder to students when checking out books,please
\nbring your school card with you, unless they have their 5-digit number
\nmemorized.It really makes checkout out much more efficient. Thanks for your

A Note From: The Boys & Girls Club of Sheboygan Falls Unit Director
\nMichelle L. Schommer,The Boys & Girls Club after school program will be
\nclosed the week of November 22nd (Thanksgiving week) AND the week of
\nDecember 20th (Christmas week) due to staffing shortages.<\/p>\n
A Note From Amy Lawerenz: all students were given a card with their lunch
\nbar code. This is their form of payment this year, touchless sales. They
\nwill not be able to purchase ala carte without their card.<\/p>\n
Our district is currently operating the Seamless Summer Option (SSO)
\ncontract, and since students are not charged for meals under this program,
\nadult meals, and ala carte are calculated using a non-pricing formula.The
\nformula includes the amount of reimbursement the district receives from the
\nstate and federal government for a student meal.Under our current contract
\n,that reimbursement is higher than in the past, which means the price of an
\nadult meal must be higher.<\/p>\n
The Food Service department appreciates the support it receives from adults
\nparticipating in the program. The district is required to increase the
\nadult meal prices and ala carte to meet the contract requirements. Effective
\nDecember 1, 2021, adult breakfast will be $2.20 and adult lunch will be
\n$4.00, Specialty Salads will be $3.00,Extra Entree will be $2.00 and extra
\npizza or in a bowl meal will be $2.25<\/p>\n

\nwill treat families to holiday music and dozens of sugary creations on
\ndisplay at the Annual Gingerbread Festival.Attendees will enjoy extended
\nhours, musical performances and the opportunity to vote for their favorite
\nhand-crafted gingerbread houses, sculptures and original handiworks created
\nby local schools and community groups.Classroom and community organizations
\nwhose sweet designs garner the most votes from attendees, will receive cash
\nprizes in different age groups. Complimentary gingerbread cookies will be
\nserved to protect the candy-studded homes and fabrications from hungry

\nto provide access to Covid-19 testing to ensure we create a safe learning
\nenvironment while also supporting our families and staff as they navigate
\nthrough the Pandemic and WI cold and flu season. The district has been
\nworking with the WI Department of Health Services and a company called
\nCovid Clinic to offer on-site Covid testing. We are pleased to share that
\nwe now have a testing kiosk on school property that is staffed with a
\ntrained health professional in order to provide free family and employee
\nCovid-19 testing.<\/p>\n
