\nand put them in the blue jug for your grade level. The grade with the most
\ndonations will get a 30 minute recess. This year’s donations are going to
\nan organization for children with cancer run entirely by volunteers through
\nChildren’s Oncology Services. Programs they provide include Brain Tumor
\nFamily Camp, Dude Ranch, Whitewater Rafting, Utah Ski Adventure, and
\nSibling Camp. There are also trips to state governments and Washington,
\nDC, where children learn about government and educate legislators. For

“Are you a fan of retro gaming? Do you want to see if you are the best
\nMario Kart racer out there? Sign up and find out in the SNES Super Mario
\nKart Tournament. *This tournament is open to 7th and 8th graders and staff
\nmembers*. Sign up outside Mr. Shircel\u2019s room to compete in a time trial
\nqualifying run. There is room for 64 participants. First come, first
\nserved. The qualifying runs will start on Monday, May 11. *Cost of

*MATH-A-THON!* Thanks to all who participated in the Math-a-thon to raise

\nfamilies ROCK! Our top fund raiser was Makayla at $275,followed by other
\ntop supporters Alayna raising $200, Jake raising $170 and Mercedes raising
\n$145! Certificates and prizes will be distributed to participants during
\nthe final weeks of school. Congratulations also go to Mrs. Diane Miles’
\nfirst period math class for having the most contributing participants! They
\nhave earned a popcorn party to celebrate their achievement!<\/p>\n

On Friday, May 15, a Music Enrichment field trip is planned for the
\nMilwaukee Ballet. Mrs. Charbonneau is seeking 50 students in grades 5-8
\nwho show high interest and strength in the area of dance and music. A list
\nof participating students should be available the second week of May. The
\ntrip cost is $10.00. Chaperones are $15.00. Time of the trip is from
\napprox 9:15-2:45. Please see Mrs. Charbonneau for a trip permission slip.<\/p>\n
