Coaches will hand out order<br \/>\nenvelopes if you are interested in ordering pictures.<\/p>\n<p>7th and 8th grade volleyball players- Please remember to have your pink<br \/>\nslip signed for after practice tonight. Either bring your slip to practice<br \/>\nor drop it in Miss T&#8217;s mailbox before the end of the day. If you do not<br \/>\nhave your slip you will have to call your parent before practice. Thank you!<\/p>\n<p>I will be offering two groups in October\/November.  Both groups are briefly<br \/>\nexplained below.  Each group will meet for six weeks, once per week, during<br \/>\nyour lunch\/recess period.  If you are interested in joining one of the two<br \/>\ngroups, please let me know by Monday, September 28.  Groups will begin the<br \/>\nweek of October 5 and run through the week of November 9.  Thank you, Mr. U.<\/p>\n<p>*Study Skill Strategies Group*<\/p>\n<p>Life in middle school can be busy.  Changing classes, coping with different<br \/>\nteachers\u2019 styles &#038; rules, following a schedule that can be confusing and<br \/>\ngetting homework done are all a part of your daily life.  This group will<br \/>\noffer tips, techniques and strategies to help school be more manageable.<br \/>\nTopics may include: organization skills, listening &#038; taking notes, tips on<br \/>\nreading &#038; writing, study techniques and time management.<\/p>\n<p>*Teen Success Group*<\/p>\n<p>How do you define success?  Is it getting good grades?  Having lots of<br \/>\nfriends?  Making a particular athletic team?  No matter what your vision of<br \/>\nsuccess, there are certain personal qualities and skills that can help make<br \/>\nyou successful.  Topics may include: health &#038; fitness, intrapersonal<br \/>\nskills, friendships, goal setting, decision making, conflict management and<br \/>\nself determination.<\/p>\n<p>Do you like meeting new people?  Do you like learning new things while<br \/>\nhaving fun?  Would you like to exhibit your creations, or pets, at the<br \/>\nfair?  If so, then 4H just might be right for you.  Come and see what 4H is<br \/>\nall about at the Open House this Thursday, September 24.  It will be held<br \/>\nfrom 6:30 &#8211; 7:30 pm in the Youth Building on the south end of the Fair<br \/>\nGrounds.  Meet people from various clubs in the county. Talk to members<br \/>\ninvolved in a multitude of projects and decide if some of those projects<br \/>\nmight be what you are looking for. Come and have some fun!<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Charbonneau and Mrs. Fiorini are offering an Arts Enrichment<br \/>\nOpportunity to Sheboygan Falls Middle School students.  On Wednesday,<br \/>\nOctober 7th, 2015, we will travel by bus to the John Michael Kohler Art<br \/>\nCenter in Sheboygan to attend *Alash!*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbsolutely stunning.\u201d \u2014Washington Post<\/p>\n<p>Masters of throat singing, a remarkable technique for singing multiple<br \/>\npitches at the same time, the<\/p>\n<p>three-member Alash Ensemble brings the beautiful and exotic sounds of inner<br \/>\nAsia to Sheboygan.<\/p>\n<p>Participating students will report to the auditorium at 12:15 PM on<br \/>\nWednesday, October 7th for a departure from school at 12:20 PM sharp!  We<br \/>\nwill travel by bus from the middle school to Sheboygan.  We will return to<br \/>\nthe middle school at approximately 1:45 pm, at which time the student will<br \/>\nreport to their regularly scheduled classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019d like to offer this opportunity to the* Grade 7 and 8 chorus music<br \/>\nstudents first. * The Music Department, through the recent fundraising<br \/>\nevent, is *generously* covering the cost of the bus ticket!  The cost of<br \/>\nthe theater is $5.00 per student.  Checks should be made payable to SFMS.<br \/>\nWe are *limited in the number of student tickets reserved for this<br \/>\nperformance*.  If interested in attending, return your permission slip to<br \/>\nMrs. Fiorini or Mrs. Charbonneau *no later than Friday, October 2nd *to<br \/>\nreserve your seat.<\/p>\n<p>*PARENTS*\u2026We are also in need of a few adult chaperons.  Please indicate<br \/>\nyour wish to assist and return your fee of $10.00 along with your students<br \/>\npermission slip.  You will be contacted once we receive your indication to<br \/>\nassist.<\/p>\n<p>*Future Falconettes Dance Mini-Camp for students in Grades 5-8:  *<\/p>\n<p>The Sheboygan Falls Varsity Dance Team will be holding a Dance Mini-Camp on<br \/>\nthe afternoon of Friday, October 9.  Kids will  learn a routine and perform<br \/>\nat the football halftime that night. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at<br \/>\nthe door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Dinner!  Registration forms have<br \/>\nbeen sent home and additional forms are available in the office.  Forms<br \/>\nmust be returned to the school office by Wednesday, September 23 to receive<br \/>\nthe discounted price. No payment is due until check-in on October 9.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Charbonneau would like to start offering clubs during recess &#8211; These<br \/>\nclubs would be available to any student who would like to explore these<br \/>\ninstruments more or has experience already.  If you are interested, please<br \/>\nstop by Mrs. Charbonneau for a pass.
