Tomorrow is our first Wednesday dress-up day for National Bully Awareness
\nMonth. The theme is “Falls is a Safe Place to be Yourself”. To celebrate
\nour diversity and to emphasize the importance of accepting one another, we
\nare encouraging students to dress in a style that is uniquely their own or
\nto wear mismatched clothing to show that we don’t judge one another based
\non our looks (remember to always dress school appropriate)! Staff are
\nencouraged to wear their black anti-bully t-shirts as a symbol of “blacking
\nout” bullying from our school. Students, if you’d prefer to wear black
\ntoo, please do. Thank you to everybody for keeping our school safe and
\nwelcoming for all!!<\/p>\n
October 12-16 is National School Lunch week.<\/p>\n
Students and Staff please share appreciations with each of our lunch
\nemployees.<\/p>\n
Due to open spots this year on the Sheboygan Falls Middle School Dance
\nTeam, we are opening it up and allowing 6th grade students to participate
\nin dance! Please sign up in the MS office. The first practice will be
\nMonday, October 12th from 3:30-5:00. Hope to see all the girls there!!!<\/p>\n
All MS students who are participating in the *SFMS Music Department
\nCherrydale Farms Fundraiser* are reminded that order forms and money are
\ndue today, October 6th. Checks should be made payable to Sheboygan Falls
\nMiddle School.<\/p>\n
*Boys Basketball Players:* The start of your season is rapidly
\napproaching. We plan to start in roughly three weeks. Please sign up in
\nthe MS office and make sure all of your paperwork is in order *before the
\nfirst day of practice* or you get to watch instead of play. We’re looking

The School District of Sheboygan Falls is committed to providing an

\nConversations throughout the school year and join in the dialogue about

Conferences for the MS are October 15th from 4pm-8pm & October 20th from
\n4-7:30. Please go to the school district website and under family (in the
\ngrey on top) then the family resources page is way to the right in the drop
\ndown, you will find a link to sign up for your child\u2019s conferences.<\/p>\n
*The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance 2015!* If your family needs
\nassistance with Christmas help this year, there are two sign-up dates being
\noffered at the Salvation Army: Tuesday, October 6 from 9am-1pm and
\nThursday, October 8 from 2pm-6pm. If you are going to attend one of the
\nsign-up sessions at the Salvation Army, you will need to bring the
\nfollowing documents with you (one document from each category): Proof of
\nResidence (photo I.D., rent or lease agreement, piece of mail with current
\npostmark or a utility bill); Proof of Income (check stub, copy of SSI or
\nSSD check, 2014 Income Tax Return or a current letter of determination from
\nEconomic Support); and Establishment as a Member of the Household for Each
\nFamily Member Receiving Assistance (Social Security card, birth

\nPrevention Awareness Month in October. At the middle school, teachers will
\nbe conducting anti-bullying conversations and activities in their
\nclasses. Every
\nday in October, we will include a quote encouraging students to be
\naccepting and kind to others in an effort to make Falls a safer, more
\nwelcoming community for all. On Wednesdays in October, teachers will wear
\nblack to represent a “blacking out” of bullying from our schools. Students
\nwill have the opportunity to dress in black or to participate in the
\nWednesday dress theme. Parents, please join us in celebrating Bully
\nPrevention Awareness month by encouraging your children to follow the
\nFalcon Way by being respectful and accepting of everyone!<\/p>\n

\nOpportunity to Sheboygan Falls Middle School students. On Wednesday,
\nOctober 7th, 2015, we will travel by bus to the John Michael Kohler Art
\nCenter in Sheboygan to attend *Alash! Alash is a male vocal ensemble that
\ncan sing multiple pitches at the same time.*<\/p>\n
\nWednesday, October 7th for a departure from school at 9:20 PM sharp! We
\nwill travel by bus from the middle school to Sheboygan. We will return to
\nthe middle school at approximately 10:45 pm, at which time the student will
\nreport to their regularly scheduled classrooms. *This field trip time has
\nbeen changed and is now open to any student that is interested.*<\/p>\n
\nthe afternoon of Friday, October 9. Kids will learn a routine and perform
\nat the football halftime that night. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at
\nthe door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Dinner! Registration forms have
\nbeen sent home and additional forms are available in the office. Forms
\nmust be returned to the school office by Wednesday, September 23 to receive
\nthe discounted price. No payment is due until check-in on October 9.<\/p>\n
