The theme is &#8220;Falls is a Safe Place to be Yourself&#8221;.  To celebrate<br \/>\nour diversity and to emphasize the importance of accepting one another, we<br \/>\nare encouraging students to dress in a style that is uniquely their own or<br \/>\nto wear mismatched clothing to show that we don&#8217;t judge one another based<br \/>\non our looks (remember to always dress school appropriate)!  Staff are<br \/>\nencouraged to wear their black anti-bully t-shirts as a symbol of &#8220;blacking<br \/>\nout&#8221; bullying from our school.  Students, if you&#8217;d prefer to wear black<br \/>\ntoo, please do.  Thank you to everybody for keeping our school safe and<br \/>\nwelcoming for all!!<\/p>\n<p>October 12-16 is National School Lunch week.<\/p>\n<p>Students and Staff please share appreciations with each of our lunch<br \/>\nemployees.<\/p>\n<p>Due to open spots this year on the Sheboygan Falls Middle School Dance<br \/>\nTeam, we are opening it up and allowing 6th grade students to participate<br \/>\nin dance! Please sign up in the MS office. The first practice will be<br \/>\nMonday, October 12th from 3:30-5:00. Hope to see all the girls there!!!<\/p>\n<p>All MS students who are participating in the *SFMS Music Department<br \/>\nCherrydale Farms Fundraiser* are reminded that order forms and money are<br \/>\ndue today, October 6th.  Checks should be made payable to Sheboygan Falls<br \/>\nMiddle School.<\/p>\n<p>*Boys Basketball Players:*  The start of your season is rapidly<br \/>\napproaching.  We plan to start in roughly three weeks. Please sign up in<br \/>\nthe MS office and make sure all of your paperwork is in order *before the<br \/>\nfirst day of practice* or you get to watch instead of play. This will just be the<br \/>\nAlternative entrees. If you have any questions please ask any of our<br \/>\nfriendly kitchen crew!<\/p>\n<p>Conferences for the MS are October 15th from 4pm-8pm &#038; October 20th from<br \/>\n4-7:30. Please go to the school district website and under family (in the<br \/>\ngrey on top) then the family resources page is way to the right in the drop<br \/>\ndown, you will find a link to sign up for your child\u2019s conferences.<\/p>\n<p>*The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance 2015!*  If your family needs<br \/>\nassistance with Christmas help this year, there are two sign-up dates being<br \/>\noffered at the Salvation Army: Tuesday, October 6 from 9am-1pm and<br \/>\nThursday, October 8 from 2pm-6pm.  If you are going to attend one of the<br \/>\nsign-up sessions at the Salvation Army, you will need to bring the<br \/>\nfollowing documents with you (one document from each category): Proof of<br \/>\nResidence (photo I.D., rent or lease agreement, piece of mail with current<br \/>\npostmark or a utility bill); Proof of Income (check stub, copy of SSI or<br \/>\nSSD check, 2014 Income Tax Return or a current letter of determination from<br \/>\nEconomic Support); and Establishment as a Member of the Household for Each<br \/>\nFamily Member Receiving Assistance (Social Security card, birth<br \/>\ncertificate, 2014 Income Tax Record or current letter of determination from<br \/>\nEconomic Support). At the middle school, teachers will<br \/>\nbe conducting anti-bullying conversations and activities in their<br \/>\nclasses.  Every<br \/>\nday in October, we will include a quote encouraging students to be<br \/>\naccepting and kind to others in an effort to make Falls a safer, more<br \/>\nwelcoming community for all.  On Wednesdays in October, teachers will wear<br \/>\nblack to represent a &#8220;blacking out&#8221; of bullying from our schools.  Students<br \/>\nwill have the opportunity to dress in black or to participate in the<br \/>\nWednesday dress theme. On Wednesday,<br \/>\nOctober 7th, 2015, we will travel by bus to the John Michael Kohler Art<br \/>\nCenter in Sheboygan to attend *Alash! Alash is a male vocal ensemble that<br \/>\ncan sing multiple pitches at the same time.*<\/p>\n<p>Participating students will report to the auditorium at 9:15 PM on<br \/>\nWednesday, October 7th for a departure from school at 9:20 PM sharp!  We<br \/>\nwill travel by bus from the middle school to Sheboygan.  We will return to<br \/>\nthe middle school at approximately 10:45 pm, at which time the student will<br \/>\nreport to their regularly scheduled classrooms. *This field trip time has<br \/>\nbeen changed and is now open to any student that is interested.*<\/p>\n<p>*See Mrs. Charbonneau if you are interested!*<\/p>\n<p>*Future Falconettes Dance Mini-Camp for students in Grades 5-8:  *<\/p>\n<p>The Sheboygan Falls Varsity Dance Team will be holding a Dance Mini-Camp on<br \/>\nthe afternoon of Friday, October 9.  Kids will  learn a routine and perform<br \/>\nat the football halftime that night. The cost is $25 in advance or $30 at<br \/>\nthe door and includes a T-shirt, Poms, and Dinner!  Registration forms have<br \/>\nbeen sent home and additional forms are available in the office.  Forms<br \/>\nmust be returned to the school office by Wednesday, September 23 to receive<br \/>\nthe discounted price.
