Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Students &#8211; Please remember to help keep our school safe by:<\/p>\n<p>1) Never open an outside door for visitors.<\/p>\n<p>2) Always look for badges for strangers you may see in the building.<\/p>\n<p>**If you do not recognize them and they are not wearing a badge, please<br \/>\ntell a teacher to tell the office. Kennedy in 1962, National School Lunch<br \/>\nWeek (NSLW) is a weeklong celebration of the school lunch program. SNA<br \/>\nmembers celebrate in their cafeterias every year with decorations, special<br \/>\nmenus, events, and more.<\/p>\n<p>If you are eating with us this week, we will have special things to hand<br \/>\nout during the week.<\/p>\n<p>The kitchen may want to take your picture, so be smiling!<\/p>\n<p>Due to open spots this year on the Sheboygan Falls Middle School Dance<br \/>\nTeam, we are opening it up and allowing 6th grade students to participate<br \/>\nin dance! The first practice will be Monday, October 12th from 3:30-5:00.<br \/>\nHope to see all the girls there!!! There will be a parent mtg in the gym<br \/>\nlobby Tuesday, October 13th at 5pm.<\/p>\n<p>*Boys Basketball Players:*  The start of your season is rapidly<br \/>\napproaching. Please sign up in the MS office and make sure all of your<br \/>\npaperwork is in order before the first day of practice, Monday October 26th<br \/>\n3:30-5, or you get to watch instead of play.  We&#8217;re looking forward to a<br \/>\ngreat season!  Coaches Pfister, Bohman, and Schuren<\/p>\n<p>Conferences for the MS are October 15th from 4pm-8pm &#038; October 20th from<br \/>\n4-7:30. Please go to the school district website and under family (in the<br \/>\ngrey on top) then the family resources page is way to the right in the drop<br \/>\ndown, you will find a link to sign up for your child\u2019s conferences.<\/p>\n<p>*MS Cross Country: *<\/p>\n<p>CC early release times:<\/p>\n<p>Thursday, Oct. 15 at 3:30pm (Bus is coming back for students due to the<br \/>\nlate race) to Chilton Golf Course, Chilton<\/p>\n<p>The School District of Sheboygan Falls will be participating in Bully<br \/>\nPrevention Awareness Month in October.  At the middle school, teachers will<br \/>\nbe conducting anti-bullying conversations and activities in their<br \/>\nclasses.  Every<br \/>\nday in October, we will include a quote encouraging students to be<br \/>\naccepting and kind to others in an effort to make Falls a safer, more<br \/>\nwelcoming community for all.  On Wednesdays in October, teachers will wear<br \/>\nblack to represent a &#8220;blacking out&#8221; of bullying from our schools.  Students<br \/>\nwill have the opportunity to dress in black or to participate in the<br \/>\nWednesday dress theme.  Parents, please join us in celebrating Bully<br \/>\nPrevention Awareness month by encouraging your children to follow the<br \/>\nFalcon Way by being respectful and accepting of everyone!<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday Oct. 14th: No Sweat, We Support Each Other (wear sweatpants &#038;<br \/>\nsweatshirts)<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday Oct. 21st: Be a Team Player by Being Kind to Everybody (wear your<br \/>\nfavorite team clothes)<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday Oct. 28th: Give Peace a Chance (wear &#8220;sixties clothes&#8221;- tie-day &#038;<br \/>\nneon\u200b<\/p>\n<p>*From the Nurse: *October is \u201cNational Protect Your Hearing Month.\u201d<br \/>\nNoise-induced hearing loss is cumulative, invisible, and permanent. That<br \/>\nmeans it gets worse over time and cannot be cured. You may not even notice<br \/>\nthat it is happening. The good news is that noise-induced hearing loss is<br \/>\n100% preventable.  If your ear buds prevent you from hearing what\u2019s going<br \/>\non around you, the volume is too loud!
