You have *TALENT FEST 2016!*<\/p>\n SFMS students have the opportunity to participate in the annual Talent \n* SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE! * The first classroom rounds of our annual Facilities Advisory Committee now forming, seeking volunteers!<\/p>\n The School District of Sheboygan Falls is seeking district residents to
\nFamilies Program for ages 10-14 through UW-Sheboygan and Mental Health
\nAmerica. The Strengthening Families Program helps develop healthy family
\nrelationships between children (aged 10-14) and their
\nparents\/guardians. The Spring 2016 session will run every *Thursday* from
\n*J*anuary 28 to March 10*, 5:30pm to 8:00pm* with dinner provided. The
\nflyer and registration form are available in the office. Child care for

\nconcert attire is to dress up nice (no holes please!). All 5th graders will
\ncome to the *band room* after lunch at 11:35 to get in concert order. Don’t

\non Thursday, December 17th for a departure from school at 9:30AM sharp! We
\nwill travel by bus from the middle school to downtown Milwaukee. We will
\nreturn to the middle school at approximately 2:45PM, at which time the
\nstudents will report to their scheduled class period. Students are to *pack
\na bag lunch and beverage LABELED with their name* for this field trip, as
\nwe will be eating in the Marcus lunchroom immediately after the

\nNutcracker trip on 12\/17 are invited to come to the ACTION Room during the
\nlunch\/recess period on Weds. 12\/16 for an introduction to the story of the
\nNutcracker. We’ll introduce the characters, setting, and special effects of
\nMB’s story line In addition, we’ll cover ballet vocabulary, as well as
\nballet attendance etiquette. *Participation on Weds. will prepare you* for
\nour follow-up Friday, 12\/18 activity. Nutcracker participants are invited
\nto are invited to come to the ACTION Room during the lunch\/recess period to
\nplay a quick game of* Nutcracker Trivia,* based on the details of the MB’s
\nperformance, for a chance to win prizes.<\/p>\n
\nthe opportunity to share your creative writing skills and be recognized for
\nyour writing talents! Write a poem in the *style of your choosing*, which
\nfocuses on the holiday or winter season. Poems will be judged based on
\ntheir originality, creativity, and artistic quality. Qualifying poems will
\nbe entered in the *Creative Communications Poetry Contest *for a chance to
\n become a \u201cpublished poet.\u201d If interested, PICK UP contest guidelines on
\nthe ACTION Room bulletin board ASAP. *Entry deadline is Friday, December

\nFest, to be held on Friday, January 15th, at 6:30PM in the auditorium.
\nInterested students should pick up information from the ACTION Room
\nbulletin board, or see Mrs. Charbonneau or Mrs. Fiorini with questions.<\/p>\n
\nspelling bee will take place in all Literacy and Integrated LA classrooms
\nbetween December 14th and 21st. Students can prepare for the bee by picking
\nup a study list either from Literacy and Integrated LA teachers or from the
\nACTION Room bulletin board. Students can also visit the SCRIPPS website
\nfor study tips at http:\/\/spellingbee.com\/study-tips<\/a> or http:\/\/myspellit.com\/<\/a>

\nvolunteer for a Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC). The role of the
\ncommittee is to provide meaningful input to the Sheboygan Falls Board of
\nEducation as the Board analyzes potential solutions for the Sheboygan Falls
\nMiddle School. The committee will also provide specific input on the
\ndistrict-wide, long-range capital replacement priorities. It is anticipated
\nthat the committee will meet no more than six (6) times between January and
\nApril 2016.<\/p>\n
