Learn<br \/>\nhow to discipline your children without losing your cool, and without<br \/>\nlosing their love and respect.  We&#8217;ll teach you how to help your children<br \/>\ndevelop personal responsibility, self-control and good decision making<br \/>\nskills.  You won&#8217;t need a complicated reward or punishment system because<br \/>\nyou&#8217;ll nurture long-term relationships with your children and reinforce<br \/>\ntheir innate good natures.<\/p>\n<p>*Two Sessions to Choose From!*<\/p>\n<p>When: *Jan. 18**,* *Jan. 25**, **Feb. 1**, **Feb. 8, 2016*, 6:00-8:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Where: Family Resource Center, 1500 Douglas Drive, Plymouth<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $20 per family, payable by January 12, 2016<\/p>\n<p>When: *Apr. 20**, **Apr. 27**, **May 4**, **May 11*, 2016, 6:00-8:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Where: United Way Building, lower level, 2020 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $20 per family, payable by April 13, 2016<\/p>\n<p>Register for either session: 920-892-6706 or<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.familyresourcesheboygan.org\/parents-as-teachers\/parenting-classes-events-activities\/parenting-classes-registration\/\" >http:\/\/www.familyresourcesheboygan.org\/parents-as-teachers\/parenting-classes-events-activities\/parenting-classes-registration\/<\/a><br \/>\n<http:><\/p>\n<p>Students and their families are invited to participate in the Strengthening<br \/>\nFamilies Program for ages 10-14 through UW-Sheboygan and Mental Health<br \/>\nAmerica.  The Strengthening Families Program helps develop healthy family<br \/>\nrelationships between children (aged 10-14) and their<br \/>\nparents\/guardians. The Spring 2016 session will run every *Thursday*<br \/>\nfrom January<br \/>\n28 to March 10*, 5:30pm to 8:00pm* with dinner provided. The flyer and<br \/>\nregistration form are available in the office. Child care for younger kids<br \/>\nwill be provided! Stop into the ACTION Room for yarn and patterns,<br \/>\nor feel free to use your own supplies. *<\/p>\n<p>*EDIBLE ENGINEERING CREATIONS* displayed in the cafeteria can be taken home<br \/>\nby a team member this week. Any that remain on Weds. after dismissal will<br \/>\nbe disposed of.<\/p>\n<p>*VISIT THE WAELDERHAUS IN KOHLER* during the remainder of December to view<br \/>\nand vote for your favorite SFMS entry to their GREAT GINGERBREAD VILLAGE<br \/>\nCONTEST.<\/p>\n<p>Starting second semester, Student Council will be having a soda tab drive<br \/>\nto benefit an organization that helps kids with cancer.  So, start saving<br \/>\nthose soda tabs.  When you&#8217;re at your relatives over break, be sure to ask<br \/>\nthem too!<\/p>\n<p>*The first dance of the year *for all middle school students will be held on<br \/>\n Friday, January 8, from 3:15-5:15.  The theme is &#8220;Under the Sea,&#8221; so you<br \/>\nare encouraged to wear blue to the dance.  DJ Kurty Kurt will once again be<br \/>\nspinning records for us and there will be pizza, ice cream, candy, and soda<br \/>\nfor sale at the event.  Students will need a signed permission slip to<br \/>\nattend the dance.  Permission slips will be handed out in your Falcon Time<br \/>\nbefore break.  Wristbands to get into the dance will be for sale after<br \/>\nbreak for $1.  Wristbands can be purchased at lunch on Wed., Jan. 6, Thurs.,<br \/>\nJan. 7, and Friday, Jan. 8.  They will also be on sale right before the<br \/>\ndance that Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Any student that still has a Lion King Script please return it before<br \/>\nHoliday Break.  Thanks! The role of the<br \/>\ncommittee is to provide meaningful input to the Sheboygan Falls Board of<br \/>\nEducation as the Board analyzes potential solutions for the Sheboygan Falls<br \/>\nMiddle School. The committee will also provide specific input on the<br \/>\ndistrict-wide, long-range capital replacement priorities. It is anticipated<br \/>\nthat the committee will meet no more than six (6) times between January and<br \/>\nApril 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Committee membership: The Board is seeking a broad-based group that<br \/>\nrepresents a cross-section of the community. Committee members are asked to<br \/>\ncommit to participating in all meetings.
