“FBLA will meet on Thursday in Rm 219 during the 7\/8th grade lunch. We will
\ndiscuss the skill tests and speeches for the regional competition.”<\/p>\n
*8th Grade Art students* will be visiting the Milwaukee Art Museum on *Tuesday,
\nFeb. 2.* We are looking for at least 6-7 more parent volunteers who are
\nwilling to come along and help chaperone this fantastic field trip! We’ll
\nneed you from about 8:30-2:45. We will tour the newly-renovated Art
\nMuseum, and also participate in a hands-on make-and-take art project.

Wrestling Sing up sheet will be in the MS office. All 5th- 8th grade
\nstudents are able to sign up. There will be an informational student
\nmeeting during lunch this week Thursday.<\/p>\n
*Lion King Play is March 10th-12th*<\/p>\n
Hakuna Matata – Sheboygan Falls Middle Schoolers – The sign-up for the
\nmiddle school musical the Lion King is posted on office windows. Please
\nsign-up for Monday, January 18th or Tuesday, January 19th. The audition
\nwill be after school. They will last about 10 minutes and will be on a
\nfirst come first serve basis. As soon as you are finished, you may leave.
\nAll students that audition will be cast as parts. The cost for being in
\nthe musical is $40.00. There is also some other paperwork that needs to be
\ncompleted as well and is encouraged to be completed before the first
\nrehearsal which will be January 21st. Please stop in the office for any
\npaperwork for the musical. Rehearsals generally run from 3:15-4:00 pm or 4:30
\npm during the week of the show they will run until 5:30 pm. The parent
\nmeeting will be on January 19th at 5:00 pmin the middle school auditorium.<\/p>\n

*Congratulations to our Holiday Poetry Contest Winners,* Liberty O, Tayler
\nO and Mercedes R. Their poems have been entered in the Creative
\nCommunications Poetry Contest for a chance to become a published poet.
\nPoems can be viewed on the ACTION Room bulletin board. Winners should see
\nMrs. Fiorini for award.<\/p>\n
*CHESS CLUB!* Students interested in learning\/playing chess, are invited to
\nthe ACTION Room on Friday, January 8th, 15th and 29th. New and experienced
\nchess players are welcome. Pick up your lunch and bring it with you at the
\nstart of the lunch\/recess period.<\/p>\n
*SPELLING BEE! *Our grade level spelling bees will take place during the

\nFamilies Program for ages 10-14 through UW-Sheboygan and Mental Health
\nAmerica. The Strengthening Families Program helps develop healthy family
\nrelationships between children (aged 10-14) and their
\nparents\/guardians. The Spring 2016 session will run every *Thursday*
\nfrom January
\n28 to March 10*, 5:30pm to 8:00pm* with dinner provided. The flyer and
\nregistration form are available in the office. Child care for younger kids

\n Friday, January 8, from 3:15-5:15. The theme is “Under the Sea,” so you
\nare encouraged to wear blue to the dance. DJ Kurty Kurt will once again be
\nspinning records for us and there will be pizza, ice cream, candy, and soda
\nfor sale at the event. Students will need a signed permission slip to
\nattend the dance. Permission slips will be handed out in your Falcon Time
\nbefore break. Wristbands to get into the dance will be for sale after
\nbreak for $1. Wristbands can be purchased at lunch on Wed., Jan. 6, Thurs.,
\nJan. 7, and Friday, Jan. 8. They will also be on sale right before the
\ndance that Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
\nvolunteer for a Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC). The role of the
\ncommittee is to provide meaningful input to the Sheboygan Falls Board of
\nEducation as the Board analyzes potential solutions for the Sheboygan Falls
\nMiddle School. The committee will also provide specific input on the
\ndistrict-wide, long-range capital replacement priorities. It is anticipated
\nthat the committee will meet no more than six (6) times between January and
\nApril 2016.<\/p>\n
