*Freshman Curriculum Night:*<\/p>\n
Next year freshman and parents are encouraged to attend the informational
\nmeeting on January 18th from 5:30-8 in the High School cafeteria.<\/p>\n
Due to students working in classrooms during lunch, lunchroom service has
\nbeen lacking. We will be publishing the names of students who have service
\neach week in the staff announcements so that teachers are aware of who
\nneeds to be coming down to wash tables. If a student is unable to do their
\nservice on any given day, that student should find a sub to do it for them.<\/p>\n

*SPELLING BEE! Congratulations to our school champion, seventh grader
\nKatie H, and to our runner up, sixth grader Claire O!!! It was a back and
\nforth battle, with both girls doing an amazing job! Katie will represent
\nSFMS at the regional bee on Feb. 1 at Acuity! Wish her well! Our other
\nschool finalists also did an outstanding job representing their grade
\nlevels.*<\/p>\n

Congrats to the following 7th and 8th Grade Band students who were
\nnominated and selected for participation in the 2016 Wisconsin Youth Band
\nDirector’s Association Youth Band: Andrew K-percussion, Keegen K-trumpet,
\nRachel L-trombone, Kevin R-trombone, Liz S-flute. They are currently
\npreparing individual parts for a day filled with sectionals, full
\nrehearsals, and a performance scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Lakeland College on
\n Saturday, February 6, 2016.<\/p>\n
There are still a few spots available for the master drummer coming
\ntomorrow morning.

*Student Council Members, *our meeting on Monday, January 18, and all
\nfuture meetings will be held in room 114. Room 114 is the first room on
\nthe left in the science hall near the cafeteria.<\/p>\n

Yearbook will meet Monday, January 25th from *3:15 until 4:00* in Miss
\nZimmer’s room. See you all there!<\/p>\n
*Lion King Play is March 10th-12th*<\/p>\n
Hakuna Matata – Sheboygan Falls Middle Schoolers – The sign-up for the
\nmiddle school musical the Lion King is posted on office windows. Please
\nsign-up for Monday, January 18th or Tuesday, January 19th. The audition
\nwill be after school. They will last about 10 minutes and will be on a
\nfirst come first serve basis. As soon as you are finished, you may leave.
\nAll students that audition will be cast as parts. The cost for being in
\nthe musical is $40.00. There is also some other paperwork that needs to be
\ncompleted as well and is encouraged to be completed before the first
\nrehearsal which will be January 21st. Please stop in the office for any
\npaperwork for the musical. Rehearsals generally run from 3:15-4:00 pm or 4:30
\npm during the week of the show they will run until 5:30 pm. The parent
\nmeeting will be on January 19th at 5:00 pm in the middle school auditorium.<\/p>\n
