First practice<br \/>\nis April 4th!<\/p>\n<p>Please see Mrs. Miller in the office to pick up registration forms.<\/p>\n<p>*Rec Department Information*<\/p>\n<p>*Rec League Baseball\/Softball &#8211; 4K-8th Grade*<\/p>\n<p>The Sheboygan Falls Rec Department is accepting registrations for<br \/>\nsummer Rec League baseball and softball until April 1st.  Recreation<br \/>\nleagues are available for boys and girls from 4K-8th grade (current year&#8217;s<br \/>\ngrade).<\/p>\n<p>*Baseball Fundamentals Camp &#8211; 2nd-8th Grade*<\/p>\n<p>The Rec Department is partnering with the SFHS baseball team to offer a<br \/>\nbaseball fundamentals camp for 2nd through 8th grade players. Players will<br \/>\nlearn from the Sheboygan Falls High School coaches and develop the<br \/>\nfundamentals\u2014throwing, pitching, fielding and hitting. Players will partake<br \/>\nin some of the same instructional, competitive, and fun drills as the high<br \/>\nschool programs does and will have a chance to win some prizes!  The camp<br \/>\nwill be held on consecutive Saturdays (April 23rd &#038; April 30th) with a cost<br \/>\nof $25.<\/p>\n<p>*Registration forms and more information for all programs can be found at<br \/>\nthe Aquatic Center, Middle School office, Elementary School office, and<br \/>\nonline at: *<br \/>\n*<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us\/recdept\/rec-dept-baseball-softball.cfm*\" >http:\/\/www.sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us\/recdept\/rec-dept-baseball-softball.cfm*<\/a><br \/>\n<http:><\/p>\n<p>*You don&#8217;t have to be in basketball to shoot free throws!!!  *Student<br \/>\nCouncil will once again be sponsoring a free throw contest Friday, March 18,<br \/>\nand Monday, March 21.  Come to the gym during your recess.  You pay $1 for<br \/>\nevery 10 shots you would like to take.  We will keep track of your &#8220;best<br \/>\nout of 10&#8243; to determine the top boy and top girl at each grade level.<br \/>\nThose students will have a shoot-out on Tuesday, March 22 and the top two<br \/>\nshooters will compete at half-time of the student\/staff Green Day<br \/>\nbasketball game on March 23.  Proceeds will go to the MAD fund for the<br \/>\nSheboygan Falls Fire Dept.<\/p>\n<p>8th Grade Band students are reminded to turn in your Kalahari Band Festival<br \/>\nActivity Choice\/T-Shirt Form by Tuesday, March 15th.<\/p>\n<p>*Just a friendly reminder to stay above the line. The next \u201cGreen Day\u201d is<br \/>\nWednesday, March 23rd. It is the student\/staff basketball game.*<\/p>\n<p>Parents of Sheboygan Falls Middle School<\/p>\n<p>As you come to school at the end of the day to pick up your children or<br \/>\ncome to after school events remember we have neighbors.  I have been<br \/>\nreceiving many complaints from our neighbors about cars blocking their<br \/>\ndriveways.  This is happening after school at pick up and also during<br \/>\nevents at school after school hours.  Please remember to be at least* four<br \/>\nfeet* away from a driveway if you park or if you\u2019re waiting for your<br \/>\nchild.  If they continue to call about cars blocking their driveways then<br \/>\nenforcement action will be the next step.* PLEASE* be considerate to the<br \/>\ncommunity members who live by the school.<\/p>\n<p>Students, Staff, and Parents &#8211; Please remember the SDSF has a Wellness<br \/>\nPolicy that reminds us to consider healthier options for birthday and\/or<br \/>\nclass treats as a way to promote healthy habits. If you need ideas for<br \/>\nthese treats our school district website\/food service\/healthy snack<br \/>\ncelebrations has great resources available.  ~Thank you, Ms. Markofski<\/p>\n<p>For anyone interested in joining Makerspace Club please attend one of the<br \/>\ninformational meetings in Ms. Galica&#8217;s room (301) after school on<br \/>\neither Monday,<br \/>\nMarch 14 or Thursday, March 17.  If you cannot attend either meeting,<br \/>\nplease see Ms. Galica or Ms. Widish for information.<\/p>\n<p>If you still want to order a yearbook, you may do that but you can only buy<br \/>\nthe yearbook for $27. You *can not* add any icons or personalization<br \/>\nbecause those orders needed to be in at the end of February. Thank you for your support!<\/p>\n<p>*The Falcon Way is excited to announce they will be hosting the VIP Section<br \/>\nfor the Student and Staff Basketball Game on March 23rd!  Enter for a<br \/>\nchance to sit in the VIP section!  The rules for entry are as follows &#8211;<br \/>\nGood Luck!*<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7  *To be eligible, you must enter at least one Falcon Feather. Classes will be held from 8:00<br \/>\nAM &#8211; 12:00 PM Monday through Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>*Box Tops Competition! *Please stop in the MS office to get a sheet if you<br \/>\nwould like to turn in box tops. The Wednesday Falcon time class that<br \/>\ncollects the most will earn an incentive of 30min of electronic time, along<br \/>\nwith the Wii. This puts them on par with tobacco use as a public<br \/>\nhealth threat.  The W.H.O. found that people who used tanning beds before<br \/>\nthe age of 30 were 75% more likely to develop melanoma \u2013 the deadliest form<br \/>\nof skin cancer.
