Announcement – The 101 Dalmatian sign-up is now posted on the middle school
\noffice window. Auditions will be January 16th and 17th from 3:15-4:00.
\nStudents auditions will be about 5-7 minutes in length. They can leave
\nwhen they are finished. *Students need to have their $40.00 fee paid and
\nall paperwork in to participate in the the musical.*<\/p>\n
All Lost and Found items from before break have been sent to a donation
\ncenter.<\/p>\n
Starting today the Lost and Found bin is located outside the MS office.<\/p>\n
If your child is missing something, please feel free to come and take a
\nlook.<\/p>\n
*Pizza and other treats *will be sold at all girls’ home basketball games
\nand both home wrestling meets this winter. Stop in the gym lobby to buy
\npizza, cookies, candy, or soda. Prices range from $0.75 to $1.50.<\/p>\n
*Wrestling Sing-Up: Sign up in the MS office and pick up paper work!*<\/p>\n
*Student Council *will meet in January on Monday, January 16, and Monday,

If you are interested in performing in the talent show, please turn in your

\nis hosting a free Trauma-Informed Parenting Workshop this spring. The
\nworkshop provides participants the knowledge and skills needed to
\neffectively care for and support children who have experienced trauma.

\nthe Scripps National Spelling Bee will be completed by Jan. 6th in all
\nELA\/Integrated classrooms. The final grade level, school championship and
\nregional qualifying rounds will be held in the ACTION Room during the week
\nof Jan. 9th. Students can pick up a list of words to study from their
\nELA\/Integrated teacher or from the ACTION Room bulletin board. Students can
\nalso prepare by visiting Word Central!

\nGeographic Bee will be held in January, with the final grade level and
\nschool level bees to follow in the ACTION Room in early February. Students
\ncan prepare by visiting the National Geographic Study Corner
\n
\nto bring it home by Friday of this week, after which time they will be
\ndisposed of. *<\/p>\n
\nparticipate in the annual *Talent Fest on Friday, January 13th, 2017, at
\n6:30PM in the middle school auditorium.* Students interested in
\nparticipating in the Talent Fest should begin to think about what type of
\nperformance they wish to display. Students may perform in only one act
\n(unless it is a larger school organized ensemble), which can be either a
\nsolo or group performance. Types of performances presented in the past
\ninclude singing, dancing, musical presentations, short skits, juggling, or
\nany act that displays a student\u2019s talent. Now is the time to determine if
\nyou wish to participate, in what way, and with whom. Performances will be
\nlimited to 2 minutes. Students who elect to sing must be prepared to do so
\nwithout singing over the voice on a cd. Singers should include the name of
\nsong they will perform on the permission slip and Mrs. Charbonneau will
\nprovide a cd of the music for you to practice with. Parents, please assist
\nyour child in assuring that the performance, music and lyrics, and costumes
\nare appropriate for our middle school audience. A printed copy of the
\nlyrics to music to be played or sung must be brought to the first rehearsal.<\/p>\n
\npractice at home. Participants *must attend either* of the scheduled
\nrehearsal dates, as indicated below. Acts must be well prepared, polished,
\nand ready to perform at the two rehearsals. The rehearsal dates are;<\/p>\n
\nperformance sign-up sheet and return it to Mrs. Charbonneau by Tuesday,
