*All students: Please hand in your coarse selection sheets no later than
\nthis Friday, March 24th *<\/p>\n

5th and 6th graders – don\u2019t forget to bring your money for the 7th grade
\nBusiness Expo on* Friday, March 31.* You\u2019ll be able to buy 25 cent tickets
\nin your classrooms before the Expo on that Friday and at the gym doors.
\nMost products are priced at 4 – 10 tickets ($1.00 to $2.50). Check out the
\nadvertisements posted around school to preview products that will be sold.
\nThank you.<\/p>\n

Think about joining the Makerspace Club!!! This club is an excellent
\nopportunity for students that love to tinker, create, problem solve, and
\nuse their imagination. As a part of Makerspace Club, you will have the
\noption to work on free-choice projects, team challenges, or guided projects
\neach week. Some things the members can look forward to are: STEM
\nactivities such as creating simple circuits, crafts using basic power
\ntools, and almost anything else you have in mind! To get more information
\nabout Makerspace Club please attend one of our *informational meetings on
\nMonday, March 20 or Tuesday, March 21 after school in room 301 (Mrs.
\nCotter\u2019s Room).*<\/p>\n

*Wrestling: *<\/p>\n

Congrats to Alaric Muckerheide and Jesse Burg as they are WWF Kids State
\nqualifiers! We are going to have one more week of practice to help get
\nthose guys ready for state and to have some fun and work on a few other
\nthings for another tournament taking place this weekend. I will let you
\nknow about the middle school bust up party and equipment turn in day. It
\nwill be held after school on Thursday, March 30th in the aquatic center
\npool balcony. Please have everything cleaned and ready to turn in that day.
\nAfter turning your issued equipment has been turned in, there will be time
\nto swim in the pool so bring your suits as well! Following that, we will
\nhand out season awards and have pizza and drinks for the wrestlers. We
\nshould be done around 4:45pm.<\/p>\n

Also, like I have mentioned above, there is a tournament this weekend in
\nMilwaukee called the Purple Pummel. Here is a message from Sam Payne.<\/p>\n

For anyone who is interested there are already four wrestlers from the team
\ngoing to the Purple Pummel wrestling tournament. It is a great tournament
\nfor beginners and average wrestlers to be matched up with other wrestlers
\nwith similar levels of experience. It is on Saturday the 25th at the Kern
\ncenter in Milwaukee. Please contact Sam Payne (Joe’s dad) if you are

Our 8th grade students will be participating in a field trip to Lakeland
\nUniversity on March 29th . We will be leaving school at 9:30 a.m. and
\nreturning at 12:00 p.m. Student will eat a late lunch at school. Please
\nmake sure your student eats breakfast and has a jacket and shoes for
\nwalking outside.<\/p>\n

*Trap Shooters: *Group and individual pictures are going to be taken at
\nFalls Club on March 29th at 4:00. Forms are in both middle school and High
\nSchool office. There will also be at practice on Wednesday. Everyone who
\ncan make the group picture be there a little before 4:00. Individual

*5thGrade Families*<\/p>\n

With the beginning of a new season, we are gearing up for our biggest and
\nbrightest summer opportunity: 4-H Summer Camp. Our 4-H Summer Camp is an
\nexcellent opportunity for families and youth to see what 4-H has to offer.
\nThis year we will be holding our 4-H Summer Camp at Upham Woods in
\nWisconsin Dells, WI starting on July 15th and ending on July 19th, 2017. Forms
\ncan be picked up in the MS office.<\/p>\n

The PE Department of Sheboygan Falls Middle School is holding a contest to
\ndesign the center court logo for the new middle school gym. This is open
\nto all 5th through 8th grade students here that would like to be involved.
\nIf your design is picked, it will be displayed on the new center court for
\nthe whole world to see. Details will be explained this week by your PE
\nteacher during your PE class. Contest ends March 31st.<\/p>\n

*SF Rec Department Information*<\/p>\n

*Traveling Baseball\/Softball – 5th-8th Grade*<\/p>\n

Registration is now open for Sheboygan Falls Traveling Baseball &
\nSoftball. Registration & Concussion Forms are available at all SF Schools
\nand online at the Rec Department website. All forms and fees are due back
\nto the Rec Dept by Wednesday, March 1st. Tryout\/Skill Evaluation dates
\nwill be determined after registration is complete.<\/p>\n

*Rec League Baseball\/Softball – 4K-8th Grade*<\/p>\n

The Sheboygan Falls Rec Department is accepting registrations for
\nsummer Rec League baseball, softball, and tee ball until Friday, April 7th.
\nRecreation leagues are available for boys and girls from 4K-8th grade
\n(current year’s grade).<\/p>\n

*Baseball Fundamentals Camp – 2nd-8th Grade*<\/p>\n

The Rec Department is partnering with the SFHS baseball team to offer a
\nbaseball fundamentals camp for 2nd through 8th grade players. Players will
\nlearn from the Sheboygan Falls High School coaches and develop the
\nfundamentals\u2014throwing, pitching, fielding and hitting. Players will partake
\nin some of the same instructional, competitive, and fun drills as the high
\nschool programs does and will have a chance to win some prizes! The camp
\nwill be held on consecutive Saturdays (April 22nd & April 29th) with a cost
\nof $25.<\/p>\n

Attention 8th grade students in Mrs. Fischer’s Art Classes: Friday, May 12,
\nwe will be going on a field trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum. We will
\nleave around 8:30 and get back around 2:30. We need about 10 adult
\nchaperones (a parent or grandparent, etc.) for our trip. Parents, if you
\nare interested, please email Mrs. Fischer so we can hold a spot for you!
\nChaperones are free. Background check forms for chaperones are available in
\nthe office or on the district website.<\/p>\n

April 3rd will be the first day of the Sheboygan Falls Middle School track
\nseason! Track provides you with wonderful opportunities to create
\nfriendships, be part of a team atmosphere, and improve your overall
\nathletic ability, there is much more, so come join the fun April 3rd. *Sign-up
\nis in the office now and they will let you know what paperwork is necessary
\nto participate!*<\/p>\n

*SFMS Winter Blue Ribbon Challenge!*<\/p>\n

*Open to all SFMS students! * Login to Study Island using your personal
\nusername and password. (See your teacher or Mrs. Fiorini if you\u2019re unsure
\nof your login info or need guidance for this challenge.) Select the topics
\nassigned to you under WINTER BLUE RIBBON CHALLENGE and get started! The
\nrules are simple…begin by reviewing the lesson, click on the topic title,
\nselect *Game Mode*, (yes, Game Mode…we want this to be fun!) select 10
\nquestions, then show us what you know! You must select 10 questions and
\nearn 70% or better to earn a blue ribbon. The contest runs from February
\n1st through March 31st, 2017 and prizes will be awarded!<\/p>\n

Did you know that it takes 24 hours for bacteria in your mouth to form
\nthe sticky film called plaque. If plaque is not removed with proper
\nbrushing or flossing it coats the base of your teeth and becomes Tarter.
\nOnce you have tarter it can only be removed by your dentist or hygienist.
\nIf it is allowed to stay on your teeth your jaw bone starts dissolving and
\nyou teeth can fall out. Keep your teeth clean and healthy by brushing and
