Please remember to get lots of rest and stay hydrated.  We<br \/>\nwill be in costume on Monday and Tuesday.  Wednesday, we will take the cast<br \/>\npicture. The Make-up demo will take place on Wednesday as well.  Once we<br \/>\nstart the shows on Thursday, we will no longer rehearse. Our 8th grade class will be heading to Great America on June<br \/>\n6th to celebrate the end of their Middle School years!  The trip committee<br \/>\nhas been working on ways to offset the cost of this trip. We held a very<br \/>\nsuccessful bake sale in January. We have decided to hold another bake sale<br \/>\nin the hope to raise the rest of the money needed to keep the cost the same<br \/>\nas it has been in past years for families.  Baked goods will be sold during<br \/>\nparent\/teacher conferences on Tuesday (3\/13) as well as after the play<br \/>\nperformances Thursday through Saturday (3\/15-3\/17). A huge thank you goes<br \/>\nout to Mrs. Woodworth and her Culinary 3 class at the High School.  They<br \/>\nwill be making the baked goods for our sale!!!<\/p>\n<p>Fifty-one music students are busy preparing for the annual Solo &#038; Ensemble<br \/>\nFestival scheduled for Saturday, March 24th at New Holstein High School.<br \/>\nSFMS will be represented in a total of 55 solo and small ensemble entries<br \/>\nincluding Show Choir and Jazz Ensemble. We would like to thank our parents<br \/>\nahead of time for supporting their aspiring young musicians by attending<br \/>\ntheir performances.  Events are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. A<br \/>\nPreliminary Schedule will be available March 9th and a Final Schedule and<br \/>\nSite Map will be available March 16th.  Please contact Mrs. Winkler at<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:cwinkler@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us\" >cwinkler@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a> if you are able to volunteer your time as<br \/>\na homeroom chaperone.<\/p>\n<p>The Annual SFMS Student Art Exhibit is almost here!  Our annual showcase of<br \/>\nawesome student art is next week, March 15-17 (same nights as the musical)<br \/>\nThis is our final art exhibit here at 101 School Street!  Lots of memories<br \/>\nwe will leave behind.<\/p>\n<p>March is also Youth Art Month so we are celebrating the role and importance<br \/>\nof the arts in our schools.  We are so fortunate to have so many art<br \/>\nclasses offered to students here in Sheboygan Falls.<\/p>\n<p>Our cafeteria will be transformed into an art gallery next weekend.  Mrs.<br \/>\nFischer has been saving hundreds of art pieces from this past school year<br \/>\nto display.  But, students may also bring in artwork that they may have<br \/>\ntaken home already, or artwork created at home &#8220;in your free time&#8221;. Bring<br \/>\nin these items to Mrs. Fischer ASAP.<\/p>\n<p>During intermission of the musical &#8220;Annie Jr.&#8221;, and before and after the<br \/>\nshow, the Art Exhibit will also have refreshments available. Donations are<br \/>\ngreatly appreciated as it is a way to raise extra funds for art supplies!<\/p>\n<p>Parent volunteers are needed to help hang artwork Wednesday after school,<br \/>\nand we will need help taking tables down and moving artwork on<br \/>\nSATURDAYNIGHT after the final Annie performance. (students could help<br \/>\nwith Saturday night takedown)<\/p>\n<p>Hawaiian &#038;  Beach Dress Up Day March 16th. Beach party at lunch. Please<br \/>\nremember to bring a towel or blanket to sit on during lunch.<\/p>\n<p>Any 8th grader boys interested in playing soccer in HS, there will be a<br \/>\nmeeting in the MS gym lobby with Coach Koepsell to talk about summer<br \/>\nscheduling and answer any questions. The meeting will be March 21st at<br \/>\n10:30am.<\/p>\n<p>If any students are interested in learning about the weight room, bio<br \/>\nmechanics or just interested in staying fit and active, the coaching staff<br \/>\nat Sheboygan Falls High School would like to help you out. The athletic<br \/>\nprogram will be running a class after school March 12, to go over basics of<br \/>\nlifting weights. No prior knowledge or sign up is necessary just show up<br \/>\nand meet in the gym lobby on Monday at 3:30. Class will be sequential so<br \/>\nattendance all week is recommended. Please talk to coach Henney if you have<br \/>\nany questions.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a wrap-up FBLA pizza celebration\/meeting on Thursday, March 22,<br \/>\nin Ms. Probst&#8217;s room (204) after school. Track and Field is a great way to<br \/>\nlearn how to compete while you improve speed, strength, and endurance while<br \/>\nhaving a great time with friends and teammates.  Everyone<br \/>\nparticipates&#8211;there is no bench in Track and Field!  Practice starts on April<br \/>\n3rd (the first day after break), and meets begin April 16.  All athletes<br \/>\nneed to have paperwork completed (athletic code, concussion form, physical)<br \/>\nand fees turned in before the first practice to participate.  There is a<br \/>\nparent meeting at 5pm on April 3rd in the gym.  If you have any questions<br \/>\nabout the forms, please ask in the middle school office.<\/p>\n<p>Yearbook Photos being taken at school~<\/p>\n<p>THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE&#8230;.. INSTEAD OF the photos being taken tomorrow,<br \/>\nthey will be taken NEXT WEEK Tuesday, March 13th.<\/p>\n<p>This will include the photos of individuals, groups and the 8th grade class<br \/>\nphoto.<\/p>\n<p>Music In Our Schools Month\u00ae or \u201cMIOSM\u00ae\u201d is \u200bthe \u200bNational Association for<br \/>\nMusic Education&#8217;s \u200bannual celebration during March which engages music<br \/>\neducators, students, and communities from around the country in promoting<br \/>\nthe benefits of high quality music education programs in schools. Music In<br \/>\nOur Schools Month\u00ae began as a single statewide Advocacy Day and celebration<br \/>\nin New York in 1973 and grew over the decades to become a month-long<br \/>\ncelebration of school music in 1985.<\/p>\n<p>\nTo show our support we will feature a music &#8220;quote of the day&#8221; in the daily<br \/>\nannouncements. Between now and April 6th, students will have the opportunity<br \/>\nto participate in the 2018 SFMS St. Jude Math-a-thon. Participants have the<br \/>\nopportunity to earn great prizes&#8230;but most importantly, to help the<br \/>\nchildren and families at St. Jude Children&#8217;s Research Hospital. This<br \/>\ndental program was utilized this past Fall in the Sheboygan Falls School<br \/>\nDistrict.Lakeshore Community Healthcare (LCHC) and the Sheboygan Falls<br \/>\nSchool District have partnered together to provide a dental clinic in the<br \/>\nelementary, middle, and high schools.  This school program offers x-rays,<br \/>\ncleanings, exams, fillings, sealants and other dental services as needed,<br \/>\nfor all students in the district who are NOT already established with<br \/>\nanother dentist.  LCHC accepts private insurance and Medicaid\/Badgercare.<br \/>\nHelp is available for those students not covered by a dental insurance<br \/>\nplan.  If you would like your child to take advantage of this opportunity,<br \/>\nplease complete and return our bright green registration forms available in<br \/>\nthe school offices or from the school nurses.
