*2018 SPRING MS BOOK FAIR!!!!!!!*<\/p>\n

The Book Fair will be at Sheboygan Falls Middle School from Monday March 12
\nthrough Friday March 16. We will be open from 8:00 am to 3:00pm on school
\ndays. We will also be open during the conferences on Tuesday March 13 from
\n4:00pm \u2013 7:00pm and during the night Play times on
\nThursday, Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

Camp Anokijig Writing contest:<\/p>\n

Please write a paper to Ms. Markofski letting her know why you would like
\nto go to Camp Anokijig. Please turn papers into the office by April 3rd.
\nThe winner will receive a certificate for 1 week of camp the pick of week
\nJune 10th, June 17th, or July 1st .<\/p>\n

It\u015b show week. Please remember to get lots of rest and stay hydrated. Once
\nwe start the shows on Thursday, we will no longer rehearse. The Cast Party
\nfor Annie has been moved to Friday, March 23 3:15-4:00 due to conflicts
\nwith other events. Please do sign-up to help with Art Show Clean-up

*Need Baked Goods ???*
\nHello parents! Our 8th grade class will be heading to Great America on June
\n6th to celebrate the end of their Middle School years! The trip committee
\nhas been working on ways to offset the cost of this trip. We held a very
\nsuccessful bake sale in January. We have decided to hold another bake sale
\nin the hope to raise the rest of the money needed to keep the cost the same
\nas it has been in past years for families. Baked goods will be sold after
\nthe play performances Thursday through Saturday (3\/15-3\/17). A huge thank
\nyou goes out to Mrs. Woodworth and her Culinary 3 class at the High
\nSchool. They will be making the baked goods for our sale!!!<\/p>\n

Fifty-one music students are busy preparing for the annual Solo & Ensemble
\nFestival scheduled for Saturday, March 24th at New Holstein High School.
\nSFMS will be represented in a total of 55 solo and small ensemble entries
\nincluding Show Choir and Jazz Ensemble. We would like to thank our parents
\nahead of time for supporting their aspiring young musicians by attending
\ntheir performances. Events are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. A
\nPreliminary Schedule will be available March 9th and a Final Schedule and
\nSite Map will be available March 16th. Please contact Mrs. Winkler at
\ncwinkler@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us<\/a> if you are able to volunteer your time as
\na homeroom chaperone.<\/p>\n

The Annual SFMS Student Art Exhibit is almost here! Our annual showcase of
\nawesome student art is next week, March 15-17 (same nights as the musical)
\nThis is our final art exhibit here at 101 School Street! Lots of memories
\nwe will leave behind.<\/p>\n

March is also Youth Art Month so we are celebrating the role and importance
\nof the arts in our schools. We are so fortunate to have so many art
\nclasses offered to students here in Sheboygan Falls.<\/p>\n

Our cafeteria will be transformed into an art gallery next weekend. Mrs.
\nFischer has been saving hundreds of art pieces from this past school year
\nto display. But, students may also bring in artwork that they may have
\ntaken home already, or artwork created at home “in your free time”. Bring
\nin these items to Mrs. Fischer ASAP.<\/p>\n

During intermission of the musical “Annie Jr.”, and before and after the
\nshow, the Art Exhibit will also have refreshments available. Donations are
\ngreatly appreciated as it is a way to raise extra funds for art supplies!<\/p>\n

Any 8th grader boys interested in playing soccer in HS, there will be a
\nmeeting in the MS gym lobby with Coach Koepsell to talk about summer
\nscheduling and answer any questions. The meeting will be March 21st at
\n10:30am.<\/p>\n

There will be a wrap-up FBLA pizza celebration\/meeting on Thursday, March 22,
\nin Ms. Probst’s room (204) after school. We will go over our results from
\nregionals, celebrate our accomplishments, and brainstorm for next year.<\/p>\n

Any seventh and eighth grade students interested in Track and Field should
\nsign up in the office starting March 6th. Track and Field is a great way to
\nlearn how to compete while you improve speed, strength, and endurance while
\nhaving a great time with friends and teammates. Everyone
\nparticipates–there is no bench in Track and Field! Practice starts on April
\n3rd (the first day after break), and meets begin April 16. All athletes
\nneed to have paperwork completed (athletic code, concussion form, physical)
\nand fees turned in before the first practice to participate. There is a
\nparent meeting at 5pm on April 3rd in the gym. If you have any questions
\nabout the forms, please ask in the middle school office.<\/p>\n

Music In Our Schools Month\u00ae or \u201cMIOSM\u00ae\u201d is \u200bthe \u200bNational Association for
\nMusic Education’s \u200bannual celebration during March which engages music
\neducators, students, and communities from around the country in promoting
\nthe benefits of high quality music education programs in schools. Music In
\nOur Schools Month\u00ae began as a single statewide Advocacy Day and celebration
\nin New York in 1973 and grew over the decades to become a month-long
\ncelebration of school music in 1985.<\/p>\n

\nTo show our support we will feature a music “quote of the day” in the daily
\nannouncements. We also encourage students to wear shirts that promote
\nmusic. “Music Mondays” will be our big day but feel free to show your
\nsupport for music any\/all days of the week.<\/p>\n

\nincrease our awareness as we have a bunch of fun celebrating and supporting
\nour learners with Down Syndrome. Every *one* of us is unique and can make
\npositive contributions to our community. Let’s show that uniqueness by
\nwearing our crazy socks on Wednesday, March 21st! Thanks for all your
\nsupport!<\/p>\n

*St. Jude MATH-A-THON:!* Over the past fourteen years, *SFMS students* have
\nraised over *$36,015.00* for children at St. Jude Children’s Research
\nHospital!! Between now and April 6th, students will have the opportunity
\nto participate in the 2018 SFMS St. Jude Math-a-thon. Participants have the
\nopportunity to earn great prizes…but most importantly, to help the
\nchildren and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The math
\nclass with the highest number of contributing participants will earn a
\nclass popcorn party!!! Together we can make a difference!!! Questions???

*MATH-A-THON TIMELINE!*<\/p>\n

*Between March 5th and April 5th,* students work on Funbooks and collect
\npledge donations<\/p>\n

*Friday, April 6th! *Students return their pledge donations in an envelope
\nto Mrs. Fiorini. Please include student’s full name and grade level on the
\nenvelope. Funbooks can be kept by the student and students can continue to
\nwork on these if not yet complete.<\/p>\n

*By Friday, April 20th,* the winner of the POPCORN party will be announced.
\nThe math class with the most contributing (meaning submitting some
\ndonation, whether $1.00 or $100.00) students will be selected the winner!<\/p>\n

*Students who have earned additional prizes from St Jude’s will receive
